Theres some comparable dudes in hockey to that. Like Zdeno Czara, who's 6'9", 260lbs. People who never played ice hockey have no clue how challenging it can be to skate, let alone fight on ice. Out of all sports, this one has the biggest learning curve. I know some people that are good althetic types yet they can't even stay in skates for more than 10 minutes cause their ankles are giving them hell.
Hockey actually has the best fighters of any sport outside of fight sports themselves. Fighting is a part of the hockey culture. Any time your teammate gets cheapshotted, etc., even if your team just needs a momentum swing, you fight. You learn from before you're a teenager if you play hockey.
Not entirely true. It's becoming a part of the hockey curriculum, more or less, even if only unofficially. Aside from the small percentage of pure goal scorer types, everyone on the ice needs to know how to throw a punch.
Commander Vander would've been proud of that shot. Maybe this kid should ditch the hockey and switch over to the sweet science.
You're an idiot. Skating doesn't automatically mean you have better balance than a boxer, especially in boxing where balance is just as crucial as any other skill. Once you've learned how to ice skate it becomes second nature, just like swimming or riding a bicycle. "Name one boxer who can fight on skates." How about any boxer who KNOWS how to skate as well? (and it's not that ****ing hard to learn lol) Dumb ass
He kept his helmet on ? How was that fair ? Alright as it happens he knocked the other guy out with the first punch but the other guy would not have been able to hit him back as he had his helmet on
