Even a 40 yr Vitali would destroy Haye, it's time for the Brit forum to admit it!

How anyone can think Haye doesn't have a chance after Saturday is beyond me. Vitali looked dreadful - couldn't even stop a guy as old as Briggs. Lewis did it much more emphatically what, a decade earlier?

 

Vitali was hitting a punch bag on saturday night ... he didnt look great in my opinion !

Haye would be too quick for Vitali and counter punch his way to a UD .... why he doesnt take this fight who knows ! if Haye wants to leave a legacy then beating this guys a damn good start !

 

Say what you will about the Klitschkos, but can you imagine to horrible procession of belt holders we would have had if they were not around?

 

We might have gotten more entertaining fights. I'll be glad when they retire. They seem like nice people, and I admire them that they're always in shape - but goddamn! They are ****ing dull.

 

If Haye mans up to this fight... then... I think he has a good chance after what I saw on Saturday. Briggs was stationary. Haye will at least be moving around a bit like he did in the Valuev fight, and his punches are powerful enough to cause a bit of bother if he can get inside and connect.

 

so it was briggs this time. It really dosent matter who they fight, its always the same. When you have massive fit guys who are very cautious with a "win first, entertain last" attitude its tough to see how anyone can overcome them. They are so painfully disciplined and use their physical assests very well. They will not over commit to Haye and will keep jabbing him until he starts getting wild and frustrated. Haye best punch the overhand right will have a long way to go before it reaches its target. He wont get many connects that have full power behind it. I think he has a better chance with Wlad as he has the weaker chin. Wlad is the better of the two though but i cant see haye stopping vitali. No way haye is outscoring them over the distance as Klits will be the ones coming forward and will throw double what he will.

 

Same age as Vitaly, and had has less injuries and punishment.

Briggs is shot and has never been that good.

 

Briggs was a front-runner in his best days and hadn't notched a significant win in something like three years. Let's not pretend he was somehow near-prime or in any way a good opponent.

he was a name: nothing more.

 

Less punishment is debatable. He hasn't been fighting at anywhere close to top level since 2007. Not every fighter ages like Vitali.

 

Anyways, IMO Old George deserved the nod over Prime Briggs.

Vitali widely outpointed him. This was not an impressive victory.

 

It would be a close fight. I don't believe that the outcome can be predicted with any degree of certainty. There are too many unknown factors.

 

so beating a 40+ year old guy with chronic asthma makes you believe he will destroy haye hahaha vitali is a robot and way past prime, haye would decision him, he is way too fast
