That was a really stupid argument people were using as to proof that Canelo truly won.. Of course he knew he ****ing lost, it was open scoring, there was no shock value in the announcement of the winner. One of the judges gave Canelo every round through eight, Trout knew this, they told him the scores. Gee knew he needed a ko to win the fight after the scores were told after the 8th, he had already braced himself for defeat..

  3. The fight was closer than scored but I saw Trout missing A LOT

Karmazin said he lost after the Spinks fight but many(myself included) believe he won.

    "The better man won"-Austin Trout.

No one knows better who won than the guy in the ring.

The guy stepped up, like a man,and admitted he lost.

Can we all just move on?

If it was simply a case of knowing the scorecards, why did he say

    "The better man won"?

Yeah,he said that, well after the fight was over when his manager probably told him to make out he won, to maybe build up a rematch and get his name back out there for big fights, because they have to keep up this idea that he was robbed.

At the moment the fight had ended and he had gone 12 rounds, taking and giving punches, and was at his most honest, he said he lost.

Believe me,fighters tend to know when they won or lost. If they think they're robbed they'll say so.

If they think it was close, but werent given the decision, they'll say they won anyway.

Sometimes they'll "Mundine" it and say they win, even when they clearly lost.

If a fighter says he was beaten after the fight, you can be darn sure, that he was beaten.

His voice says he won, but his micro expressions say he lost.

I think he's one of the guys left on the planet who still have class, and he earned my respect for it. I think Canelo did impress Trout with his boxing skill, he was great at closing the distance and finding his range. His defense was much better than expected, and it was truly a close fight. And I can see a Canelo victory especially with the kd, and I'm sure Trout felt it was a close fight as well. But hearing the scores twice during a fight you are completely all the way in, and seeing all the judges got you behind. One judge hasn't even given you a round, one judge doesn't have it close. I'm sure he thinks maybe he's analyzing the fight a little different being in the inside...

Honestly I don't know, but Trout saying the better man won really has **** to do with who deserved to win...

Hey hang on a minute only one judge came from Texas. The ludicrous scorer was South African I believe. GBP greased the judges palms had nothing to do with Texas. If you want corruption & daylight robberies Try Vegas (Nevada) the NYC & the CSAC they make the mob rule of the 50's look like choirboys.:patsch
