    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/index

this is the homepage for espn boxing..

instead of having a storie/s about margarito vs cotto or the fight

they got **** up about fighters from before when the internet existed

seems like nobody wants to give this fight any pub

    I personally don't even care.

If it does good it does good. If it doesn't then so what? I seen it anyways.

It's popular on ESB so that's all that matters.

yeah i personally cannot wait.... some people around here seem to have a hard time getting their minds around the fact that its not that exciting of a fight outside of the boxing world...

i Ctrl+F (search for non-computer savvy people) the espn boxing page

    and the word
    cotto-margarito-miguel-antonio

does not even come up once

More like people can't believe that the honchos who run boxing are willing to let this fight get no publicity and not bat an eye about it.

people dont want to take the risk of losing money... if they spend all that money advertising the fight and nobody orders it.... there assed out of millions of dollars... the only people now who really have sold fights up to recently are floyd and oscar.. there major fights.. anything else is irrelevant for the most part

Then don't put the fight on ****ing PPV.

It's just funny to me...that people complain boxing has no stars...yet the complainers are the ones who have all the power to help make them stars.

HBO is just ****ed up. Simple as that.

On ESPN boxing telecasts, Atlas has mentioned the fight on several occasions when he is theorizing about the PBF retirement. He thinks Floyd will come out of retirement to fight the winner of Cotto-Margarito. If you think about it, neither Cotto or Margo are household names, yet in the fight fan community they are huge names. If this bout had another name like Mayweather or DLH, then you would not stop hearing about it.

I just hope that in the wake of this fight, ESPN will be talking about it like there is no tomorrow.

Unless you're DLH, ESPN won't have any big articles on the fight until closer to the fight night. That's generally how they work.

That sucks, next to Vasquez/Marquez III(what could top that?) this might be the best fight of the year.

At least Dempsey is the headline on ESPN.com right now...much love.
