Most fighters of his generations are all done, shell of themselves. It's amazing Fedor lasted this long without losing. He is definitely slowing down as compare to his Pride days. It is now against father time when a new young fighter tips the scale and beats him. If I was him, i would just retire. Why go down the road of retiring too late. He has nothing more to prove.

 

:thumbsup Boom. Why some fans cant see this il never know. Fedor's consistency is unparalleled in MMA. Its almost impossible to have a ledger like his with such ridiculous depth and yet no losses. Most in MMA cannot compete at such a high level barely loosing a round. Plus Fedor does have alot of mileage on his clock. I wouldnt be surprised if when he's SF contract is up he calls it a day.

 

fedor is past his prime for the last two years. but his experience, skills and his speed, even if it has slowed down big time, holds him as the best fighter today. i think he will beat werdum and overeem and then make a last fight against the ufc champion(at this time dos santos), if danna white allows it, and will win and retire.
and fedor is a young long time fighter, because he never got real punishment in a fight. but it's impressive to fight against the top 10 guys for then years and losing perhaps only 3 rounds.

 

All I see on that list is a bunch of ufc rejects.

Yeah 5 of those rejects just happened to be UFC heavyweight champs.

 

yes they won titles from beating mullet headed karate guys. Exception from Sylvia. Which being champion in the weakest division in mma and all being former champions after being cut by the ufc. Fedor is a ufc dumpster fighter.

 

Last i looked Coleman was inducted into the UFC hall of fame and the first OWGP champion.

Big Nog is an MMA ATG and arguably the greatest submission heavy of all times.

Randleman won the UFC title vs Maurice Smith who along with Ken Shamrock was one of the original pioneers of MMA. The same Maurice Smith that smashed up a prime Mark Coleman. As for Kevin he's arguably the greatest wrestler to come from Ohio. His credentials dont need any explanation.

Sylvia and AA participated in the UFC heavy merrigoround that saw the title change hands between themselves and Frank Mir. All were world class. Fedor destroyed both of them in a few minutes.

these same "world class" guys got beat by Mercer and Brett Rogers in less than 10 seconds. You seem to put these HWs on a pedestal. Good for Fedor for beating roid headed wrestlers with no technique but all power. Mark Hunt laid his fat body on fedor for a solid 9 mins and pounded him and nearly broke his arm. Ricardo Arona as i stated above, beat him on points( and anyone says otherwise needs to watch that fight)

There is no evidence he is not still in his prime, however, so a future loss could very well be in his prime.

Insinuate what you will, which of us is the more impartial and reasonable one is pretty obvious. I have never said any particular fighter would beat Fedor. A prime Randy would have been a great fight, Lesnar now would be a very tough fight.

To act as if it is impossible for Fedor to lose is just being a fan boy, and takes away from the greatness of his accomplishment; the fact that he is actually mortal and could lose is what makes his run so remarkable.
