Even if Floyd beat Pac, would he leapfrog Pac in ATG status?

I know tennis.can't compare them two since nadal is really near the start of his career and federer his twilight. fact is nadal has a better record even though he was younger and less used to some of the surfaces he was playing on. Nadal had 6 grand slams at the same age as federer had 1.no comparison

Yes! And Floyd knows it and that made me wonder why Floyd is not fighting Pac. Seriously, Floyd probably is really scared of Pac.

Leonard was a harder puncher than Pacman and was a very strong welterweight, who would beat anyone in today's WW division IMO. Pac is one of the greatest at bringing his punch up in weight as he moved up. It must be remembered that this guy was a flyweight titleholder and he knocked out Cotto. Arguello was a super puncher at featherweight and carried a KO punch even at Jr. Welter (anyone other than Pryor would have gone down for the count from the bombs Alex landed in their first fight). He's legendary in that regard.

But Pac brought it from fly to welterweight.

Leonard beats anybody at welterweight in history except SRR and I guess you can say Duran, but they're 1-1 at that weight

In modern day rules hearns would beat leonard, I say that without taking anything away from the mans hard earned victory.

Tommy Hearns absolutely pulverized Roberto Duran and not many rank Hearns ahead of him. Duran is also ahead of Leonard on most people's lists despite Leonard holding a 2-1 record over him. It won't be a simple case of Floyd beating him automatically making him greater. Especially with Pac having pretty much sealed his legacy and already being seen as a future top 25, and potentially top 10 ATG. There are various factors to consider - how he beats him, when he beats him, and how Floyd's entire career is judged once he's done. Manny is the only true ATG Floyd will have ever faced, so of course beating Pac while he's still regarded as being in his prime should propel Floyd much higher than he is right now and might be enough to put him neck and neck with Pac on most people's lists. IMO he'll still need to do a bit more, maybe also winning a middleweight title could do it
