Even if Floyd beat Pac, would he leapfrog Pac in ATG status?

He honored the contract. The contract called for a WW fight, however, there was a monetary penalty to be paid for every pound over 144 that a fighter weighed. It was still a WW fight, and Floyd came in under the WW limit.

I'm on the fence on this one only for the fact that styles make fights. If it was a convincing domination, however, then I am inclined to say yes.

:patsch My god...how stupid are you. It was agreed that they fight at 144. Why else do you think Floyd rushed to get JMM to sign off on the CONTRACT to add 300K every pound over 144 THAT DAY? Sensei? Try boxingnoob...:patsch

Mayweather is already ahead of Pacquiao.
If the question was reversed and Pacquiao beat Mayweather. I think the answer would be yes Pacquiao would move ahead of Mayweather.

You know that I have never thought much of your logic. And once again you are dead wrong. You act as if Floyd has fought bums in his career. Floyd has beatten more fighters that will end up in the HOF then has pac. Not to mention that he also owns wins of 3 of pacs top 5. only 1 of which would be seen in floyds top 5.

Hate of a fighter can often blind you, and its clear that you are ****ing blind as hell to say that Floyd wasted his career..Your ****ing stupid if you really think that.

10 years 17 fight 15 vs champions 5 titles in five weights.

Of course it would, their careers are nearly identical (now).
    they both beat dlh,
    they both beat hatton,
For pacquiao perfectly picked margarito, their is mayweathers perfectly picked baldamire,
For pacquiao’s marquze, their is mayweather’s castillo,
mayweather fought carefully chosen opponents in the beginning of his career by bob arurm, pacquiao has fought carefully chosen opponents at the end of career by bob arum,
They both have had two great trainers, with their second trainer helping them to reach their super star status,
the only separation between the two is early in their career in the lighter weights nobody was really afraid to fight pacquiao so he got to fight the better names like morales barrera ect while mayweather was often avoided through his career and unlike pacquiao he himself was calling out fighters all the time.

Probably yes, but Floyd needs to reacquire his urge to fight first.

stick dick in your mama ass punk , she's doubling as your dad anyway.

first of all Marquez challenged floyd , floyd didn't need to fight marquez.. second even during his fight at feather weight Marquez weighs in at 144, so it was not like it was a huge sacrifice .

Making a fighter boil down is a lot worse then gaining weight..

just because its more common does not mean its ok.. Fighters boiling down in weight is dangerous for many reason, the number one reason is the fighter trains pretty much in dehydrated states the whole six or 8 weeks of training, and rehydrating at fight night is not going to replace what was lost in a 6 week time span.. second doing this type of weight loss over time ruins a fighter look at hatton, donald curry , Corrales, just to name a few.

If boxing brought back same day weigh in fighter would be forced to stay in shape, and there would be no need to have so many weight devisions or catch weights fights.
