Even if Floyd fights Pac in 2012, will history forget Floyd's 3 years of duckage?

They'll remember the 3 years it took Pac to agree to the tests and how floyd was the one to pioneer the new drug testing protocol in boxing

If Mayweather fought Pac after Hatton, they would be saying how Mayweather cherry picked a smaller fighter like Pac and avoided a big true WW like Mosley who was the #1WW at the time.

:rofl:patsch ESB's resident whipping boy Popkins is getting a brutal mauling in his own thread, and deservedly so. Expect him to retire this name and use one of his countless alter egos from here on in. :dead:verysad

My thoughts are that a judge's scoring error denied Pacquiao a deserved victory in their first fight, and it took 4 years to have a rematch after a draw, so I don't see what your point is over it taking 3 years for Pacquiao to give JMM a rematch after Pacquiao beat him.

Also, JMM II was Pac's last fight at 130, which he was finding difficult.

3 months later, Pac moved up and took the WBC lightweight belt. By this time, Marquez didn't have a belt for him to win, nor had he moved up to 135, nor had he even scheduled a fight yet.

By the time Marquez was fighting Diaz then Casa at 135, Pacquiao was fighting Oscar at 147 for a king's ransom, then going for Hatton's 140 Ring belt, then going back to 147. It was never feasible, considering the money and the titles Pac was winning after 135.

And now the fight is happening at 144 because Marquez has already fought at 144, obviously Pacquiao is not going to go down to 140 or wherever just to make it easier for Marquez, if JMM went to 144 for Mayweather then of course he's going to have to go to 144 for Pacquiao as well, Pac is the #1 p4p star of the sport.

The heaviest Pac has ever been on fightnight is around 148lbs, and we have seen Marquez weigh in the 140s in the ring before. They are a similar size. Since Mayweather's return he does not allow himself to be weighed on fightnight and it is quite obvious why. See how big he looked against Mosley. This is a more even fight, and I very much doubt Pac will cheat the catchweight like Floyd did.

History remembers what happens inside the ring. All the bull**** outside of it is just a footnote.
