But Vitali did get knocked out, by an old, fat, shot, half retired, fighting on short notice Lennox Lewis who's training schedule for the Kirk Johnson fight consisted of going to Golden Corral and doing laps around the desert station.
I can't speak for others but I'd give Haye credit. But how great of win would it be? For years people have been saying the K bros are inept and unexciting. They're basically club fighters according to the majority of boxing fans. That said, it doesn't make sense to me to want Haye to have full credit for beating someone who isn't great. You can't have it both ways. If Vitali is GREAT then you need to stand by that title so Haye or anyone else who beats Vitali can have proper credit. You can't say the K bros aren't great fighters and then turn around and say Haye became an ATG by beating Wlad or Vitali. By the way, even if Haye beats Vitali, he's not getting by Wlad. And I'm not so sure Haye would even want a rematch. He'll probably just retire and be satisfied with beating Vitali. He'll claim to be the greatest HW of all time because he beat Wlad's big brother.

Haye wouldn't care if he wins or loses, he's not a serious fighter, he's just purely motivated by making money. If Haye did somehow win against an old, about to retire Vitali, still would anyone really believe that Haye would have beaten the Vitali that fought Lewis? Vitali's resume is purely mediocre, but he's twice the fighter Haye ever was.
Vitali is very diminished by this point. Haye could beat him presently. Having said that this is the same Haye who threw about 14 punches against Valuev and ran for the whole fight, he talks like Tyson and fights like Gandhi, all in all a very confused guy. Not an interesting fight, they should both retire.
They both had the same notice, you ****ing dipstick. :roflatsch He was trainng to fight Boswell on the undercard. Seriously, some people. Stick to sending people PM's. :-(
Hardly a marquee, championship fight was it you silly ****? Two weeks prep and the **** almost knocked out Lewis in two rounds, only stopped on an injury caused by nefarious Lewis tactics in clinches. Tactics that smacked of desperation. No rematch and no surprise. Cowardly lion has been dining out on it since.
