Man, theres no way we would know if it would be the same..If he did have loaded gloves than it would be a lot easier to make Cotto quit...The pain from being hit would have been much higher!
Maybe we can say that Cotto literally got " Plastered " Time may tell....but we can't say it was all the pressure alone..... we will see in the rematch when it is a level playing field. Really, Margie didn't look that confident as he entered the ring... he looked distracted and a bit nervous....so did his corner after a couple of rounds.....when they didn't hear those thudding sounds coming from the " Plastered " wrappings.
Seems to me that Cotto won the early rounds and would have continued to dominate the fight if he had not been getting hit in the head with rocks the whole fight. How can anyone be so clueless to think that getting hit in the head with rocks does not affect stamina? Margarito can take a punch, sure, but it's a hell of a lot easier to take punches from a guy who has been beat in the head with rocks. Funny how Mosley was able to knock him out when no one thought he could be knocked out. Seems to me Margo's chin was greatly overrated due to his competition being beaten in the head with rocks during the fight.
Better reason to see the rematch between Margo and Cotto, I still think we will see the same result. Heck, Mosley admitted to have felt the heavy blows and being stunned a couple of times. If it wasn't for Mosleys streategy he would been hit a ton more and get grinded down.
I have no idea whether Tony was wearing loaded gloves against Cotto but your statement just isn't true either way. Cotto didn't punch himself out, Margarito's punches wore him down.
Absolutely ridiculous statement that the outcome would have been the same even if the gloves were loaded. Just because Margo was able to take Cotto's shots for the first 7 rounds does not mean that the being nailed by plaster paris wrapped hands didn't have an effect on the outcome of the fight. I mean have you any idea how hard it would be to fight the type of fight that Cotto was fighting for 12 rounds while being hit with heavy hands wrapped in plaster paris-not an easy thing to do! This seems like a Margo nuthugger doing everything in his power to try and validate what may turn out to be a very tainted victory.
'Stunned a couple times' doesnt really cut it. It would have been more than "stunned" if margo's wraps had gone un-noticed.
Clottey fights like a turtle...he kept a high guard and kept the fight rather boring. So we really don't know if he would've won anyway because of his low punch output. But I would believe that he probably would've done it. Paul Williams is the man I give full credit to for most likely taking those shots that were insanely loaded. He looked a bit hurt and phased at times, but pushed onward. But he didn't eat as many punches either. It's mucher harder to hit P.Will because of his height and reach advantage that he utilizes with the jab... Cotto although a superior boxer was disadvantaged more than that of the aforementioned. Mosley at least had a better reach advantage. Cotto was not only shorter in height, but 6 inches in reach as well. Margo being 73' and Cotto being 67'... He showcased his awesome talent in the first half of the fight. The loaded gloves would contribute greatly to his decline in the second half. And if his stamina is low...so will his boxing skill to perform at his absolute peak. Which was his ONLY advantage in the fight at that time. His power was obviously neutralized by Margo's chin. So that advantage was gone. It all relied heavily on his stamina to perform what he did best in the first half. :hi: **** face :good
**** Varg!:fire and Cotto. I don't believe Margo ever cheated. He got caught the first time he ever tried it...:yep He whipped Cotto's ass fair and square.:thumbsup

It's true...regardless of how much bull**** NBA spews...my post is the explaination as to why I'm so pissed about this. Cotto was totally disadvantaged and he would've had a GLORIOUS win if he overcame the obstacles he was supposed to overcome he would get the just due he is supposed to receive and dickfaces like NBA wouldn't be calling him a hype job. This was his ticket to superstardom...surpassing what Trinidad did and possibly even Wilfredo Gomez...and now he was possibly ****ed over in worst kind of ways :verysad:fire:bart It's just not ****ing right. A man bold enough to step up to the plate unlike many other "pound for pound" fighters that refuse to jump into a fight with this many disadvantages...and what could've been his best performance is now questionably stolen from his grasp by a punk ass cheater...sad **** to see.
You can trash on Cotto all you like...I gave you the pass D But when you hate on me...I fight back :smoke:devil
