You know why I rooted for Margo against Cotto? Because I knew there was no way in ****ing holy hell Bob Arum would let Cotto anywhere near PW. And I really thought because AM was such a "proud" Mexican Warrior, that he could be taunted into a rematch with someone who already beat him in his backyard... Guess he ain't such a proud warrior afterall. He took half the money to receive the beating of his life. But I will admit, if PW had lost against Margarito, and I had some sort of reason to think it was from loaded gloves, I would be super pissed. I would be fuming! So all bull**** aside, I can really understand. Seriously. With that being said... **** Cotto!
They excused Masrgarito for the cotto fight. The Nevada commission did not find any wrong-doing. They checked the gloves before and after, according to them.
...well I'm glad you see...and who knows. Maybe if he beat Margo, he might've actually been brave enough to fight Williams as well :think...so I guess we'll never know now :-(
That's what I was telling my pops last week. If Cotto had won, maybe he wouldn't have been "The Tijuana Chicken" and would have given Paul a fight. And, I still can't believe Margo got his ass beat to a pulp like that. It's almost as if the "PlasterGate" has taken everyone's focus off of just how ****in bad he got his ass whipped. I mean, did you see some of the ****in bombs Shane was hitting him with? By the way, **** Cotto!
but part of the exhaustion was getting hit to the body so maybe his body punching wouldn't have any effect if it wasn't for the illegal handwrap but we can't say nothing yet cause they would have to investigate it before anyone can talk about it
Silly me for thinking that punches have an effect on a fighter's stamina.. i wonder why Cotto was bleeding so much he must have scraped his face against the ropes.
I think Shane had the easiest time figuring out what to do against Margo. After having a hard time with Clottey, Cotto, and Williams...the blueprint was there. Shane had the tools to pull it off and the right timing as well. Shockingly enough for me though, was how much Shane committed to those punches. He threw those bombs with BAD intentions :scaredas: He threw them so hard, he almost fell a few times from being out of balance...
Yeah i noticed that too. But Shane has always seemed like that in all his fights like he slips a lot but never falls down.
But for real in the DLH fight, the cotto one, the mayorga, vargas, and Margo he slips like every couple of rounds. I also think its because he lunges those huge shots so sometimes he lands weird. Like right before the KD in the 8th when he missed an uppercut he then fired a left hand that came from HELL and stunned Margo. Then he almost slipped.
