"IF" marquez can make sumthin drastic happen (like cause a knock down or dominate a round to get a 10-8 score) HE CAN GET A DECISION. In the first two fights, pac made the drastic happen. He dropped marquez several times and got a few 10-8 rounds.....and thats why he was given the nod in those close fights. BUT in a close fight where marquez: 1) is "primarily" conterpunching & backpedaling; 2) isnt dominating any rounds--to get a 10-8 score frm the judges; 3) has never made pac hit the canvas; **HE'S NEVER gonna get a close decision.**
I don't think he'll ever be able to win the hearts of the judges. It didn't happen for the first three, and it won't happen in a fourth. If it does happen, Pac will win, not b/c he decisively wins, but b/c the judges saw him as winning. Then there will be the whole robbery issue again. Yada yada yada. Marquez is Pac's second priority at this point, Mayweather is his first.
The fight should be at 147 so Pac can come in his usual weight of 144-145 now that we know Marquez can handle himself up there with Heredia's help. That was the lowest Pac weighed in 2 1/2 years, 2lbs less than he was in his last fight. Marquez and his fans want to talk all this **** about the fight, let's see him try and beat Pac at his best weight.
I don't think weight has anything to do with it. They can fight at 140 and it'll still be the same. Marquez is just such a great fighter that will always give PAC problem. It will always be a close fight with PAC getting the nod.
well, as a counterpuncher, marquez, by nature, waits for an opportunity to capitalize on....whereas pac is the seeker or aggressor....judges favor the aggressor, most of the time. also, a counterpuncher by nature, is not one to take chances. but he has to take chances and be more aggressive if he wants to win a decision against pac. sitting back and waiting to capitalize isnt gonna get it done. he has to change it up a bit, which may be to much to ask at this point in his career.
As I said before the fight, they are evenly matched. The difference is their fighting style, one is hunting, the other is ambushing. The former is more favorable to judges in a close contest.
