Once again "the man" has to brush himself off and prove himself to be a great champion, he had no business losing to Wood but it serves only as a wake up call to "the man" who has vowed to march on. In sport Ive already achieved greatness in what Ive achieved in my career both in boxing and in league, but even more greatness comes from adversity so it could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe I didnt have the hunger or the desire like I did when I came into the sport. I was so hungry I was like a Wood, I would do anything to win. Not just with last nights fight, but maybe the last half a dozen fights, the eye of the tigers not there and maybe this will help me get it back. Mundines self-confidence has earned him more critics than almost anyone in Australian sport, and many take glee when he suffers a fall. But the former St George Dragons and Brisbane Broncos NRL star invited his doomsayers to have their fun and indicated that retirement is not an option as he chases a junior middleweight world title. They can sing their tune now and people, the doubters and the non-believers can have their fun. But I came back before and I know The Man can come back again, I know that, he said. I still have the desire to do what no mans done and thats go down to the junior middleweight and win the title, but Im going to talk to my team, weve got so many options. Knowing me and my competitiveness, I wouldnt mind a rematch (with Wood), but its up to the team. The first goal is stepping in and getting the junior middleweight title and become the first man ever to do it. The true mark of a champion is how he comes back, the ex supermiddleweight and middleweight kingpin might have been down and out the other night but rest assured he's up and that is what counts. He didnt look like the uppercut machine that dispatched waters not so long ago. Expect a rabid hungry mundine next time out, expect him to bounce back and clean out the 154lb division in 2011. Haters pour yourself another glass of haterade but remember that for mundine haters are his motivators. IBO/WBA baby! peace brahs
Its a shame i had to read right down to the end before i came to the funny part, Mundine cleaning out the 154lb division. Imagine Mundine in with Dzinziruk!!, that would be a massacre. Expect him to fight Alvarez and out like Trout, he won't touch anyone remotley dangerous in that division. Its just a shame that boxing is such a minority sport in Australia because if it wasn't Mundine would be ****ed on the scrapheap years ago and tv wouldn't go near him, instead he has raped the sport in oz all of his career.
Could have saved yourself all that typing which wasn't "remotley" useful and just put in a request for a refill of haterade. peace brah
Peace Brah ? Stop trying to sound like the tit who tries to sound like he is an american boxer, you know who im on about now..
Long time no speak my intellectually inferior australian ice cream hog. I had to come back this week just to let it be known that "the man" has fans whatever the weather in all areas of the world. I loved Geale's unique deadpan monotone commentary, he's a natural. Ok brah, peace brah :good. The thread title wasn't an invitation for know nothings, il make you one if you want. Laters brah.
I would imagine he's somewhere with something in his anus, most likely his clown head. This must be like christmas for the stalker.
Nah, kicked the ice cream habit! Geales a terrible commetator, but a superb boxer. Did you see him clobber Karmazin? That's, This content is protected brah..... Where the **** you been anyway, I missed you in a screwed up kind of way.
You have? Good news. Yeah mate I figured karmazin might have blasted him out early but geale put on a clinic, if he nabs a title choc might ask geale to exercise his rematch clause :rofl. I realised I was stooping as low as the freaks on this board and instead of being a forum where I could discuss mundine it was just turning into me whaling on lames all day and although fun it's not productive for a man of my stature and intellect to be responding to clowns all day. How wild was your celebration yesterday?
I think Mandy should have taken that fight when he had the opportunity, there's a good chance it won't come up again. And if it did, he will lose more convincingly than the 1st time. :deal Knucklehead. I didn't care either way really. I would rather Mandy been beaten by a real contender, a serious fight. Wood is just a hack and got lucky with a complacent Mandy. The fight was terrible, and I hope they rematch ASAP so Mandy can redeem himself and then get legitimately flogged be the Real Deal. :good
Geale looked good against karmazin don't get delusional about his chances with the man. Although if he fought like he did against wood geale might get as close as a draw. Im gonna assume knucklehead means "youre right" in australian. Ive never seen a boxing style as ridiculous as garth wood's and I really can't fathom why mundine didnt jump on him from the opening bell, wood didnt know what to do when he had punches coming at him. The result is one in a million. Alvarez at 154 isn't off the table I don't think, but I agree Wood needs a reality check in the rematch first.
