Even though it's old news, but even Edwin Valero knew Pac would stop Oscar!

As tonight's massive fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao is set to go off, one rising superstar in the sport, Edwin Valero is making a bold prediction. Valero is picking Pacquiao to win by way of Knock-out. Valero has a unique perspective to offer, as he was part of De La Hoya's training camp in Big Bear California.

Quoted by Francis Ochoa, a popular scribe for the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Valero gave his reasoning as to why he thinks De La Hoya, a fighter he sparred with recently, will lose to Pacquiao.

Valero stated to the publication: “Oscar doesn’t like to workout. Oscar doesn’t like to run. Pacquiao is going to knock Oscar out.”

When is Pac going to fight this man??? Arum ran from Guzman, and now PAc's fans talk about Guzman's weight problems as if us fans should forget how they bypassed this fight at 130 lol... When is Pac going to be in another fire fight? When???????????? Edwin Valero will knock Pac out in 3 rounds or less. You heard it from Nallege!

Its your opinion that Valero beats Pacman and I can respect that but dont start bringing up any bull**** that Pacman is ducking Valero. Pacman vs. Valero was the original fight peniciled in for November instead of the DLH fight, but Las Vegas and Texas (who originally stated to have granted Valero a boxing license) became very tentative about having Valero licensed to fight and changed their minds.

I think at some point after Pacquiao destroyed Diaz, Valero's team said he was probably not ready.

And yet it does not change the mind of majority of people who thinks that pacman vs oscar is a circus fight, that even if he did not train, oscar will destroy pacman with little difficulty.

And also google it, after the diaz fight, valero's manager told that valero is not ready to face pacman, valero needs a few more fights

Sorry, but this is not the truth. When Valero's manager said Valero wasn't ready, Valero was 19 years old. Valero sparred with Pac and Valero held his own, and was talking big. Roach even said he thought Valero would be a fine fighter. Roach said Valero was slower than PAc and easier to hit, but Valero was 19 at the time.

Are you talking about David Diaz? If you are, you have your time line about as wrong as wrong can be.

    did some quick googling.

    Here's a quote from a May 2007 article

so my timeline was a little off indeed, but the point remains. If the article is correct.

also if you read some articles you can see that after Diaz, Arum almost put in PAc against Valero, but then went with Oscar De La Hoya instead

Whats the point if he knew it? FYI Valero and Pacquiao are friends, heck he got even a 1st class trip with everything paid just to go for Packy's Bday.

Valero can fight Pac, but I doubt he gets a nod. He is great but not yet proven and Pac won't even gain anything except stopping his streak if he ever wins. You can say Valero is the man to beat Pac, but what will you and everyone say after the fight if Pac wins?

    1. He is a bum
    2. He is not ready
    3. Blah Blah Blah excuses?

Valero and his team backed up, and thats a fact. Arum wanted the fight but Hoya came to the picture. So whats your point? Pac ducking him? Pac should fight Valero,Guzman,Soto,Campbell,J.Diaz and not Hoya or Hatton nor Mayweather? Common sense?
