Even though Pac beat Oscar, he is still too small for 140

His power is not awesome but he does have enough pop to get respected.

I'm saying its one thing to smoke ODLH and Diaz and another to smoke Cotto and PBF

Depends who he is fighting. People mentioned Margarito's name, hell no. Just no.

He has more than enough pop. He's gone from having one punch power down at the lower weights to an accumulation puncher...but what do we expect? :nut

More importantly he throws an awful lot of punches and hits guys a lot so he will score the stoppages.

He probably can't make 135 comfortably. Who knows. Roach said that he is there to stay at 140. He does have a smaller frame than most at that weight but I think Roach knows best. 140 is just the risk he is going to have to take to fight at his best. I don't think he can clean out 140 or defend the championship for the next few years but I wasn't sure if he could have done that much at 135 to begin with. When the talent is stacked that high you honestly cannot win every matchup.

screw it, theres only one solution to solve this debate without having a third Pac/JMM fight at 135

DAVID DIAZ VS CASAMAYOR NEEDS TO HAAPPEN NAO!

some people are saying that diaz is a paper champ and the weakest 135 pound champion when pac beat him. but before jmm and pac went up, i have a feeling that casa is more worse than diaz because of what happened in his fight with sta.cruz and katsidis. imo, if diaz and casa fights today, david diaz would beat this version of casa.

He aint too small for 140. As we saw in the delahoya fight he still has speed and power at 147. At 140 i believe he will be even faster and he still has power. A lot of the 140 lbs boxers are not that big. Look at how successful hatton has been at 140 lbs and he and pacman are about the same size.

Was there a reason for asking? I don't see what Pacquiao's power has anything to do with Marquez? You trying to be smart?

    1. Pacquiao has never fought at 140 so you can't guage how big he'll be, but considering how ripped and conditioned he was for the ODLH fight at 147, I'd be more worried about him having to trim down than bulking up.

    2. He might be tiny, but he's got good reach and an arm length advantage over Hatton (25" vs 20"), and over quite a few welterweights actually. His speed, energy, and movement makes up for disadvantages in size.

    3. Size is tremendously overrated in boxing. Eventually, a boxer will hit a wall or weight class that it's not realistic to beat, but at a competitive weight class, it's usually a matter of skill.
