How about this... Odds on the fight has Calzaghe a moderate favorite. BUT............ odds on Calzaghe to win by DECISION = 7:5 ( Meaning for every $5 you put up, you would win $7) odds on Kessler to win by DECISION = 37:10!!!!! That's right, for every $10 you put up, you would win $37!!! That tells you flat out that Vegas is saying that if Kessler is to WIN, it had better be by TKO/KO. :think :-(
No that tells you nothing more than Vegas hasn't taken much money on a Kessler win on points. At this stage the odds reflect the market, thats all.
The oddsmakers aren't factoring the fact that no UK official will be deciding the score. The referee and two of the judges are American. The third is from Italy. Those odds assume Calzaghe will get favored treatment if it goes the distance. Kessler can win a decision in Cardiff.
