Even with 2 layers of clothing, JMM really looks small compared to Floyd...

    Terrible response.

Odds can't be compared to selling tickets or PPV buys AT ALL. The odds usually switch during weigh-ins since it shows how fighters look and the public knows how a fighter would perform depending on how they look at weigh-ins. Tyson/Lewis betting on Lewis was CLOSED immediately after the weigh-in due to Tyson's obvious horrible shape, these things have nothing to do with PPV buys or ticket selling, they're just pre-fight predictions appearing to be true due to the fighter's physical image.

If anything, how small Pac looked at that weigh-in made MORE people think he will get KO'd earlier than expected and MORE money was put on DLH especially when DLH came in at 145 when people expected DEAD ON 147 or half a pound higher. DLH didn't look drained at all there either and no one mentioned it.

JMM is an elite fighter, just like Floyd, but he is a smaller fighter. Weight divisions don't lie. Arguing against it just isn't logical. This is a tuneup fight for Floyd. He's had a long layoff, he needs to get back in the ring with someone who will provide a challenge, but not a genuine risk. There is nothing wrong with a tuneup. Instead of fighting a not-so-good welter, he's opted for a very good lightweight.

Floyd haters shouldn't get their knickers in a tiwst over it. And neither should his fans.

Very sensible comment... Floyd has some 3 to 4 inches of arm length advantage... That might be difficult for JMM to neutralize...

Yea......Loved Deigo. True warrior no doubt. Wish things were different with how his life played out. I gotta re-watch that fight. I remember I watched this fight over my boys house and got pretty hurt. But just remembered that I couldn't believe how easily Josh beat him.

    I beg to disagree...

I think odds can influence the decision of buying a fight... Some casual buyers might be turned off buying a fight where one fighter is heavily favored to defeat the other guy... It's not always entertaining to watch a mismatch fight...

Regarding weigh-in, it's unusual for the odds to switch unless they saw a drained weak boxer in one end... Mostly the odds just stay the same or moved a bit wider or a bit closer... It's rare for the odds to suddenly switch after the weigh-in...
