Went there last night in Cardiff and was pleasantly surprised. First Frank Bruno came on and did a Q&A for 45 minutes and it was great to hear some stories. He also went on to answer a question about who would win between a prime Tyson and Lewis and he believes Tyson would win 7 days a week! Then Hatton came on and told his usual jokes that we'd all heard before but he was still funny regardless. Then he went on to desribe his career from the beginning, through to the Thaxton fight, the Pepp fight, Tszyu and then the defences until he lost to Mayweather. He didn't do a Q&A Session which was disapointing but he did say that he hopes Pacquiao will sign on the dotted line today :good
Tyson was more intimdating than Lewis. Thats why Bruno **** himself when he fought him both times. Tyson twice beat Bruno easier than Lewis did............but styles make fights and all that. Tyson paid Lewis £4 million in 96 to swerve him so I dont think Tyson was as confident that he could beat Lewis
True but Tyson in 96 was a shadow of Tyson 88 Anyway glad to hear you enjoyed it... what's not to like, listening to two top fighters - beats Eastenders and celeb BB
Yeah I went last week in Wolverhampton, Bruno was quality I thought, really funny without even tyring to be.
Happy days lads. I'm going to one of these in Manchester on 21 Feb in the Palace hotel. If anyone is going we could meet for a pint before hand.
Went to one of these last year, the Bruno part was more interesting due to the Q&A element, Hatton seemed more interested in rehashing old gags, was funny sometimes though
I was watching Only Fools And Horses last week and I heard Del Boy tell the Sugar Diabetes joke that Ricky uses.....good stuff from the Hitman
Somes it up best I'd say. Calzaghe & Henry Cooper are doing one in Wolverhampton in a few months, might show my face at that one, like said above, beats Eastenders.
Most of Hatton jokes are rehashes. His line about drawing the curtains if Junior Witter fought in his backgarden is an old Bill Shankly quote about Everton.
Ripping off a TV comedy gag is "good stuff"?How?Anybody can do that. Doesnt make him a bad person, but whats "good stuff" about stealing material?:huh
I thought Hatton was awesome. He's quite a funny bloke and the night was brilliant. It was great to see Bruno who still looks in good shape.
