No worries. Sarcasm isn't the easiest thing to detect when expressed in the written word. I do it quite a lot in here but people often think I'm being serious. I think there's quite a few other posters on here who think I'm a big Elie Seckbach fan thanks to my feeble attempts at being sarcastic lol

Dive. Even though the guy is 1-9, he shouldn't/wouldn't have been stopped by that stiff old skeleton.

I think everyone acknowledges that - Pro boxing is still in it's infancy in Russia and they kinda look to bring in big names (however past it ) like RJJ and JLC, or pay way over the odds to get Wlad fighting in Moscow, etc.

This was absolutely a night aimed at popularising the pro sport (which is still looked upon with some suspicion in Russia) and showcasing a lot of local talent and future prospects with the aim of building some kinda fan base.

There were a coupla of fights which were kinda reasonable tests or step ups at least (Kudrayashev - Gomez was the one I was most looking forward to,., but I was interested in how Mekhontsev and the 2 debutantes showed up) but in the main it wasn't a night about competitive fights.

In this thread was the first I heard of it being an exhibition. Why I thought this fight would go on their official records deserves a big lol to me, but I really did think that. I really don't care about the dive now...actually didn't care that much when I thought it was a for serious fight either.

    Still laughable though.

No, not a fan at all. He's extremely irritating. This dude has managed to outdo Seckbach in the irritating department though. I didn't think it was possible. lol

    20-18 Provo after 2 rounds.

I doubt if this one will go the distance.

Castillo is actually doing OK, he seems able to take the punches. But he was never short of a solid chin, the problem is Castillo is trying to land the left hook to the body, which is leaving him open for some counters.
Still this is better than I thought.

    Provo making a rookie mistake.

    He's trading hooks with Castillo.

We could be in for an upset if Castillo's chin is anything close to what it once was????:shock::shock:

Castillo is doing nicely inside which is giving Provo little or no leverage to put power on his punches, with his head down on Provo's chest, Castillo is now going to the body without having to worry what he could be hit with. I actually give him round 3.

    29-28 Provo.

Madaina tried to rebound using shot Morales and though he won the fight, it somewhat invigorated Morales.

If Provo understood the ramifications of trading L hooks with Castillo, he'd stay outside and throw the R hand over Castillo's jab.:huh
