Rounds getting closer. 40-36 Provo for me, because he's landing the cleaner shots. But if you look at the stats, the rounds are pretty close.

 

That round was an easy one to score, Provo started to time Castillo with some meaty hooks, one left hook in particular landed very nicely on Castillo's face like a sledgehammer.
I don't know if it's good that Castillo seems to eat them for breakfast, but he took alot of punishment there.

Ref gets to 8 or maybe nine. Pauses, asks Castillo to get up from his knee. Seems legit.

 

TKO rd 5. Provo wins.

Those Provodnikov matches are always fun to watch. He's brawling and getting hit, but throwing bombs at his opponent.

 

And once the timing was down the punches reigned in on Castillo who in fairness did better than I anticipated and put up a gutsy brave effort.
Despite Provo's power he seems VERY easy to hit, and won't last long should he ever become a champion he's just so crude.

 

Nice finishing combo from Ruslan. But Castillo should be at home and doing the garden instead.

 

Sad to see. Knew it was inevitable.

But JLC can walk away with his head held high knowing that he'd gave a GREAT account of himself vs a top 10 LWW/WW.

I hope they paid him appropriately.

Luckily it was Provo hitting him upstair, so the long term damage won't be so bad. Whereas you gotta know that Provo will be ****ing blood tonight since Castillo was drilling Provo to the liver at will.:think

Beating up beyond shot versions of Emanuel Augustus, Jose Luis Castillo and Javier Jauregui and an ancient Corley who he struggled with. Ooooh what a resume! The most feared man in boxing really took the hard route on the way up, really earned his dues and big megafight.

This washed up version of Castillo shiits all over the consensus #1 LWWs latest title defense. Who also happened to struggle with an equally washed up ATG in Morales in their first fight.

Took him 16 rds to finish Morales. Only took Provo 5 to finish a GREATER ATG in Castillo. :hi:
