I've just been arguing with eventim after they emailed saying they have refunded me £150 of the £180 I paid for Haye tickets on the 29th June. They say they will not refund charges because these are to cover their own expenses. Why we should cover expenses that they cancel is beyond me.

We bought tickets through eventim not the promoter so our contract is with them, don't be drawn into discussing the promoter or other ticket agencies, the contract is between you & eventim, the buck stops there.

They also quote a star regulator. This is SELF REGULATION & is basically a promise to follow a certain code of ethics, it means nothing in court.

Everybody who has lost out needs to issue a summons through the small claims court for your loss https://www.gov.uk/make-money-claim-online

If you do nothing, more people including maybe you again in future will be ripped off. My loss is £30, other people will lose less, others significantly more.

If you purchase good or services & you do not receive them, you are entitled to a full refund. Even airlines who are the worst of the worst will refund card charges if they cancel a flight.

DON'T LET EVENTIM GET AWAY WITH THIS

What's the difference. Even if you had to watch Haye fight it is still like getting your money stolen. Either way you lose.

Yes its a joke. They have kept their booking fee.

How the **** can you have a booking fee if I havnt ended up booking anything?

They should be getting on to their/Hayes insurance for the costs, not the fans.

Correct. It should have been covered by Hearns Promoter Insurance even.

Im still in work so havent be able to check how much I've lost out on. Not happy at all. Eventim are ****ing useless anyway - they didnt even accept Maestro cards.

David Haye is more of a business/con man than a boxer

If 10,000 tickets sold & average £10 charge per ticket = very productive day. I'm claiming mine back this way https://www.gov.uk/make-money-claim-online
and I'm adding on the court fee.

If everybody puts a claim in they'll soon back down

Come to my shop sometime, I love suckers who don't mind being fleeced :good

On a different not I've just spoke to a lawyer friend & it turns out that unfair terms/conditions can not be enforced. So even though it says on their website they don't refund booking fees, this is unfair so they'll lose. All you have to do is complete the online court form & they'll be forced to give you your cash back.

I think you need to check your maths m8, I lost £30 of £180 so if you spent 4 times more than me, there's no way your charges are half mine
