    Wow, this combined with his heart to try and take punches and still win the fight was truly brave and heroic route. He was trying the Gatti way (Entertain the crowd by taking unnecessary punishment and then come back to win the fight and EVT). I think subconsciously he knew it was too intimidating of a route so he did what he could to still ensure the EVT win.

    My view was not quite perfect so I'm not entirely sure on the motives or meaning of his ring outfit. At first I thought it was a tribute to UGG boots. Further investigation is required

    I tend to agree with that Petey


    There are indeed several examples of this occurring. I believe Ortiz won both the fight AND the event this past weekend

    Can a trainer have an EVT win??? if so "Norman "Stoney" Stone" has won a fair few.

    After stone got banished from ruizs corner round 8 against golata he definately has a case of an EVT win against the referee randy newman lol.

    Stone also might have won the EVT over Ruiz and Valuev with his post-fight antics.

    Highlighted my favorite event win of all time. The most famous chicken dance of all time, along with the first and best of multiple in-ring meltdowns, and you've got a legendary EVT.

    Another recent event win of staggering proportions was Gevor EVT10 Steiglitz.

    Good old Gevor knew the fight was lost but the event was the there for the taking, even the fight being stopped didnt bring an end to the action.
