I can't recall that specifically but I'd think that would be a bad job to take. They could be terribly injured and not know it before it was too late.

Correction: Anhidrosis means you're unable to sweat, which also would be a problem.

With a true knockout pain has nothing to do with it.

..i saw abe simon on two tv interviews back in the fifties and he said he was born with the no-pain syndrome... but starting a few years after the joe louis fights he began having headaches ....often and lasting a long time.

Rocky didn't have any such condition, he was just incredibly tough, but Jersey Joe Walcott said something along these lines of him:

"Rocky Marciano doesn't understand the meaning of pain."

I'd rather be born afflicted with a perfect defense and catlike reflexes.

:deal This is probably the most reasoned post so far - definately with you on that and my friends say I've got pretty much an inpenetratable defence so just got to work on my cat like reflexes...now where's that pint? :D

And that's a side effect of Thyrolar overdose, which plagued Ali against Holmes.

I have hyperhidrosis, which can be perfectly miserable itself. (I could not work in many jobs involving electricity because of it. If I'm bent over while working on something in high heat and humidity, perspiration splatters whatever that something is. Papers gets soaked, and printed type gets runny with sweat.)

Here's an article on Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis (CIPA):
