Trinidad. I was scared for Oscar quite badly. I had no idea Trinidad's shortcomings.

    Hopkins against Tarver as well.

What did you notice 'bout Trinidad 'n Tarver that you hadn't seen on TV?

I changed my opinion on Hopkins in the Tarver fight. I didn't think he had hit in him to outbox someone larger than himself, I also thought Hopkins was far too declined to get the job done.

Trinidad I had no idea he wouldn't be able to counter punch Delahoya or land the jab himself.

Crazy to think that pre-fight, journalists were calling Trinidad the better boxer.

I hated Floyd, up untill around the Cotto fight. Maybe a little before. I think in a f@cked up way, I liked how he showed a killers mentality against Ortiz and showed he could be a hunter against Mosley...I dont know, but I despised him for the majority of his career, especially arount the time he fought Gatti.

Is that from seeing Floyd fight in person or on TV, P?

  8. Broner when he fought Paulie. Thought he'd be a good WW but doesn't look promising at all.

Floyd recently. I like him a lot more now.

Basically interested if your thoughts about a fighter were changed after seeing him in person

  10. Oh ive only seen Canelo, Floyd, Paulie, Oscar. All at the recent press conference in New York

Didn't MEET them but I was close enough to spit on them

Thought they would be taller for some reason, Floyd has longer arms than I thought and Canelo is a big stocky dude. I thought Saul would be bigger but hes really not.

    pernell whitaker comes to mind.

i didn't appreciate his style or ability prior to the chavez fight. i didn't see the fight in person...but i met him while he was training for that fight. i didn't think he had a chance. he boxed brilliantly in that one. i saw how wrong i was about the man and i've been a fan ever since.

Ricky Hatton when I saw him against Collazo in Boston. I thought he was the next ATG swarmer when I watched him take apart Kosta Tszyu. I watched him live against Collazo and realized he was limited technically, was vulnerable to being outboxed, and lacked elite athleticism. I also thought he did not adap well. Collazo made me realize he had no shot vs mayweather.
