Wlad was winning all five rounds. A lucky punch took him out.

The same thing happened to Vitali vs. Lennox.

Everyone wants to see a rematch.

The only thing James Toney is fighting is pugilistic dementia. Time to hang em up, pops. You are starting to sound like a record being played backwards.

    Espn news:

Today Dan Rafael was attacked in his mom's basement. Witnesses say they saw a small chubby black man exiting his mothers home early this morning. "He yelled something about burger king," one witness said. Reports of the man driving an ice cream truck can't be confirmed at this time. We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Mahoosive apolgies guys, ****ing hotel internet went down last night so I couldnt post the fights. Will do so now ! Seems like some interesting banter's been going, its all looking good !

Sergei Liakhovich 26-3 (16) Vs Juan Carlos Gomez 49-2 (37)
Two high ranked contenders go head to head in a compelling bout tonight, Scheduled for 12 rounds. Liakhovich's career seems on the up since he outpointed and exposed hot prospect Bermane Stiverne over 10 rounds last time out, and Gomez makes his first fight this year after stopping Harold Sconiers in 4 in december.

Liakhovich is out quickly trying to assert his domiance behind his tall jab, whilst Gomez trys to get inside and make an impact. Gomez does well in getting past Liakhovich's jab in the early rounds, but struggles to make any sort of impact on the inside, often being wrestled and hit on the clinch by Sergei.

The 4th see's Gomez land a really good, solid overhand southpaw left to the chin of Sergei, who staggers back in trouble. Gomez starts unloading good punch's to head and body, but Sergei throws a groggy short right uppercut that lands flush and puts Juan down. He's up early at 3, but Liakhovich's head is clear and he pushes forward now behind the jab, forcing Gomez to retreat.

The 5th through to the 7th all see Liakhovich chasing his man down, Gomez isnt getting hit often but Liakhovich isnt getting hit much if at all. The 8th is when Gomez starts coming forward again, and he keeps a high guard unloading good shots to head and body in rapid succession. He keeps this going through to the 10th round, and the fight is close but Sergei has the upperhand going into the championship rounds.

The points however, dont come into question as Gomez charges forward recklessly, to run into a beautiful left uppercut from Segei. Down Gomez goes and he trys to get up at 5, but his legs buckle and send him to his knee's, where he makes one last valiant try at getting up but doesnt manage to do it before the 10 count.

    The cards were;
    97-92 Sergei,
    96-95 Sergei,
97-96 Sergei going into the 11th.

Sergei Liakhovich KO11 Juan Carlos Gomez

In a true 50-50 fight, Sergei Liakhovich comes out being the better man, leading on all scorecards and stopping Juan Carlos Gomez in the 11th.

    Andrey Rudenko 22-0 (12) Vs Hasim Rahman 50-8-2 (41)
Prospect Rudenko has been virtually untested in his career so far, but here he comes up against a tough customer in former World Heavyweight Champion Hasim Rahman. Rahman fought recently, being outpointed over 10 against another prospect Edmund Gerber, but he pushed Gerber well and made him work.

Rudenko is the better man easily early on, stepping in and out with fast straight shot combinations and peppering Rahman's face. Rahman lurches forward swinging but doesnt land a single shot in the 1st three rounds, whereas Rudenko has a 60% hit ratio landing 42 shots.

Rudenko steps it up in the 4th firing rapid combinations involving hooks now, and its not long before Rahman is in trouble. Rahman fights tough and swings short hooks back, but Rudenko's uppercuts still land and trouble him. Rahman's head is bolted upwards with a tough left uppercut that forces him to his knee's. He's up at 6 but wilting. Rudenko comes back in, looking careful in his shot placement. He steps back looking for an opening but Rahman jumps at him with a left hook, intending to make his man back off. Instead, his man crumples to canvas, instantly unconscious. Unbelievble things here as Rahman upsets the prospect !

    Hasim Rahman WKO4 Andrey Rudenko

Rudenko is eventually back on his feet but is evidently shellshocked after losing his unbeaten record to Hasim Rahman.

Official quote from Pug Ugly Boxing and Titties & Beer Entertainment.

"**** James Toney. He's a fat, old, washed-up has-been. Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola is going to hit him so hard that pork chops will fall out of Toney's fat ass."

    Still waiting for:

Arreola vs. Mitchell in a 12 round eliminator for USBA.

    Wlad vs. Povetkin

If Pov is going to continue to duck Wlad, then Wlad will face Helenius in a 12 rounder for the Euro title and vacant IBF Intercontinental and any Interim Belts the fight would qualify for.

So Toney does not face Wach for the title before we here in Mahdoton promotion know how things stand with possible unification with Vitali

Seems like Haye cant fight against Gomez, so he is facing Timor Ibramigov as stay busy opponent instead

    Andrzej Wawrzyk 22-0 (11) Vs Monte Barrett 34-10-2 (20)
Wawrzyk is the other prospect from the Iron Fist stable, and Barrett is coming off a hard fought 12 round points loss to Shannon Briggs - he's as dangerous if not more than Rahman - so the result of the last fight will more than certainly give Andrzej nerves. 12 Rounds.

Early on, Andrzej makes the smart desision to box Barrett rather than trade from a distance with him. This makes Barrett early on get desperate, and he starts swinging only to be pinged by pinpoint straight shots. The second see's Barrett swinging in a right hook only for Andrzej to roll under it and come back with a straight right that drops Monte for a 5 count.

Andrzej dominates the next few rounds in the same manner, using his straight shots and rolling and slipping past anything that comes his way, and is picking up the rounds and points strongly. The 5th is the next slice of action, when Barrett himself rolls under a jab, and as he moves to the inside he is tagged with a short uppercut that makes him fall to his back end. He's up at 5.

Andrzej comes forward more in the next few rounds, and is hurting Barrett often now. Barrett is tagged with a left right combination in the 9th that has him down again. He is up at 6, but Andrzej charges him, doesnt land much but a significant flurry has Barrett down for the 4th time. He's up at 8.

Barrett now seems to be happy to survive, but Andrzej lands easily in the 10th and bothers Barrett with a left hook. The 11th comes and Barrett trys an early attack, only to go straight into another right uppercut that has him down again. This time he's barely up at 9 but moves away and clinch's cleverly to survive the round.

Andrzej wants to finish matters in the 12th, but has no chance of doing so because of how negative Barrett is, constantly back peddling and clinching. Barrett gets a warning, and is hit with a few hard shots but the round ends. No suprise who's won this fight..

''Ladies and Gentlemen, we go to the judges scorecard where we have a unanimous verdict.

All three judges agree on the score 120-103 to your winner,

    Andrzej Wawrzyk!''

Wawrzyk looks spectacular dropping Monte Barrett five times and winning a shutout 12 round desision.

    Vyacheslav Glazkov 9-0-1 (6) Dominick Guinn 33-7-2 (22) 12 x 3
These two got into the ring together last time out, but a bad cut for Glazkov ended matters in the 1st making it a no contest. Neither man had done enough to win anyway, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Funnily enough, it wasnt interesting. Another boring 12 rounder, where Guinn's plan was so obvious it was untrue. He constantly went for where the cut was for Glazkov, who just parried all Guinns pathetic jabs and landed at will back. The fight was like this for the first 5 rounds, before Guinn tired and Glazkov just fired away at will. Guinn however, took all the shots well and did fire some back, most targeting the cut and most not landing.

Guinns first significant punch of the fight was in the 9th, a straight right that bloodied Glazkov's nose and momentarily buzzed him. However, Guinn ruined any advantage he had by going straight for the cut. Glazkov parried and countered for the rest of the round.

Guinn finally landed the shot he wanted in the 11th however, and opened up the cut on Glazkov. However, it was only marginally open and there wasnt much blood coming from the cut, so Glazkov could move away and counter for the rest of the 11th and 12th without so much as a doctors inspection.

''Ladies and Gentlemen, we go to the judges scorecards where we have a unanimous desison.

Judge 1 reads the bout 120-108
Judge 2 reads the bout 120-109 , and
Judge 3 reads the bout 118-111 to your winner, by unanimous desison..

    Vyacheslav Glazkov''

Looks like no replies mate. This now makes Arreola the number one contender for the USBA title after Toneys fight.

The word from nearly all leading organisations care little at the moment for a JT/VK fight. Toney will defend his title against Wach.

When will the Toney vs. Arreola fight take place?

Will it be for the USBA and IBA titles or just the USBA?

I was when I was 8 years old. I'd grab all the kids from the block and force them into our own, neighborhood boxing tournament. (I had all the equipment needed, just gloves) :yep :bbb

Ahh I should have stuck with it :-(

    Denis Boystov 29-0 (24) Vs Fransesco Pianetta 23-0-1 (14)
Two unbeaten prospects go head to head as Boystov faces Pianetta. People are scepticle about both mens records, however Pianetta has a win over Brit Matt Skelton and a draw with Albert Sosnowski which are two quality oppenents. Boystov, impressively, became the first man to stop David Tua last time out in 5 rounds.

The two men spend the first seeing what the other man has, offering shots and firing quick punches. Boystov lands more and gets away quite easily and its obvious to see that Pianetta is going to be the fighter going forward here.

This is the case in the 2nd, as Pianetta comes forward with cagey shots to head and body. He leans in too far though with a left hook to the body and is met with a short right hand... he's down! He trys getting up, he stumbled on the way up.. the referee waves his hands ! He thinks Pianetta is in no fit state to continue ! Its over !

    Denis Boystov WTKO2 Fransesco Pianetta

The fight is short, and maybe stopped prematurely, but no one can deny the impact Denis Boystov made with his 2nd round against fellow prospect Pianetta.

    Edmund Gerber 17-0 (10) Vs Alex Leapai 23-3-3 (18)
Gerber had a good learning fight last time out against Hasim Rahman, and Leapai is notoriously a strange fighter to face, sometimes he looks class and others very ordinary. Lets see what Gerber learned from his last fight.

Gerber charges out early, and starts throwing bombs at Leapai who early on obviously has no answer. Gerber stunns Leapai around the 1 minute mark who goes to the ropes, Gerber unloads vicious shots and Leapai just takes them - the ref is having none of it and stops the fight immediatly ! Hows that for short? Official fight time 1 min 11 seconds!

Gerber went about his work quickly in stopping Alex Leapai before the halfway mark of the first round.

    Glazkov wins in unimpressive fashion

Ukrainian heavyweight prospect Vyacheslav Glazkov, 26, beat tough journeyman Dominick Guinn in what can only be described as a dull contest.

This was a rematch of a fight that end as no contest due to Glazkov being cut. Glazkov made sure this time he'd show his true potential and managed to beat the Southern Disaster, apt name, on the score cards by a wide margin.

Rumours are circulating that Glazkov's next fight will take place in the UK, opponent is not yet known.
