HEAVYWEIGHT NEWS AND VIEWS, WEEK 3

    FIGHT OF THE WEEK
For me, it was Mike Perez Vs Albert Sosnowski that held the most entertainment value. Sosnowski, a ripped brawler, was being dominated intil the final third of the fight - which he then started snapping Mike's head back and even dropped him in the 12th. The desision was close, but I believe the right man had his hand raised in the end.

Honourable mentions : Liakhovich Vs Gomez, Toney Vs Wach

    FIGHTER OF THE WEEK
Once again, there are a few fighters who could get this - people who came back from the bleak, people who dominated their entire fight, but Im going to go with the latter and give the award to Dereck Chisora. Sure, Malik Scott may of seemed great on paper but clearly wasnt in the ring - but he had so much on the line, including his contract, and after a loss and a poor performance, he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. However, he gritted his teeth and destroyed Malik - sending him back into retirement.

Honourable mentions : Martin Rogan, Hasim Rahman, Vitali Klitschko.

    UPSET OF THE WEEK
Hasim Rahman KO4 Andrey Rudenko. Rahman had been beat by Briggs recently, in a close fight, and seemed like the prospect would work him similar. Rudenko was dominating , and Rahman had only landed 2 punches in the fight and both had been in the 4th, but Rahman unleashed a forceful hook that would of koed anyone. Rudenko hadnt a chance after that punch.

Honourble mention : Martin Rogan KO5 Michael Grant,

    KNOCKOUT OF THE WEEK
There are two I could give this to, but Im going to give to Martin Rogan instead of Rahman because Rahman already has an award :D Everyone loves a bodyshot KO (Apart from Michael Grant) and Rogan delivered a classic one, after being battered and outboxed for 4 rounds Rogan landed the shot that got him into the first bout.

Honourable mention : Hasim Rahman KO4 Andrey Rudenko, Sergei Liakhovich KO11 Juan Carlos Gomez, Deontay Wilder KO1 Danny Hughes.

    GOVERNING BODIES NEWS

The WBC,WBO,WBA and RING have ordered Vitali Klitschko to defend his title against Alexander Povektin. The IBO will allow the bout to be also for their belt, but the IBF will not sanction the fight.

The IBF have ordered Eddie Chambers to box off against Dennis Boystov for the number one spot and the next shot at the title.

The IBA have suggested James Toney rematch Mariuz Wach - If he doesnt then they will consider taking the title off him.

The EU and EBU have both said they will force either champion to defend against Denis Boystov if he would prefare this fight rather than his IBF eliminator.

The BBofC have ordered Tyson Fury to defend his British and English title against Larry Olubamwio.

The Commonwealth have ordered Audley Harrison to face Alex Leapai next to determine who gets the next shot at the title.

The USBA have ordered James Toney to defend against Tony Thompson next or he will be stripped of the title and Thompson will face Chris Arreola for the belt instead.

    PLEASE READ
I have brought in a new rule starting now - If you are inactive for 3 weeks (in game) then you will lose all three of your fighters who will become free agents.

Also, due to encouragement from one of the players, I have started my own stable, the WWW (World Wide Warriors)

I have signed up free agents Albert Sosnowski, Martin Rogan and Hasim Rahman.

    I will have ;
    Rogan face John McDermott,
    Rahman face Nagy Aguilera,
and Id like Sosnowski to challenge Mike Perez to a rematch if he would be kind enough to accept.

    My fighters had the following things to say;

Rogan ''I've just had two brutal fights with a world class operator, and proved my level. Now Im going to head for the domestic titles, and McDermott is a good start.''

Rahman ''Im not shot ! People thought I might be after losing to Gerber, but I destroyed his mate and now Im gunning to be once again the best in america, and then, maybe, the world !''

Sosnowski ''Perez, I came on too late against you but some still thought I should of won. Lets prove who really is the better man eh?''

Perez is now rank 10 IBA, but due to him being Cuban isnt ranked by the commonwealth. I'll say 5 fights for you (he's had 3) and then he has Irish nationality then he will be in.

Price is 5th Commonwealth, 1st British, and 8th IBA mate. I think he has a world ranking with a good governing body but Im not certain.

I've asked Perez for a rematch if you'll accept ;)

Mahdoton promotions are pleased our clean sweep.

We dont understand why James toney should rematch this bum after beating him convincinly. Just because one judge was corrupt dosent mean it was a close fight.
Anyway Toney will consider giving rematch but would like to know when he should have these rematch and how many voluntary matches he can make before it?

Also Vitali Klitchko agreed to unify with Toney and we would like to know if he is able to make the fight happen.

David Haye would like to challenge Robert Helenius to get WBA mandatory rating. (12 rounds)

Shannon Briggs would like to face Wladimir Klitchko to get a champs attention. Last fight was a fluke where Shannon had big problems to get used to time difference and he would like a rematch. Crushing little brother could have desired effects (10 rounds)

Shannon "The Cannon" Is coming for Wlad. But it seems you prefer to duck real challenges.
How about going 10 rounds with a former two time champion. Or is Waldo too scared?

If Povetkin is fighting for a World title, doesn't he have to give up his European title?

If that's the case, shouldn't Fury and Boytsov be fighting an eliminator to see who fights Helenius for the unification?

When Shannon the Cannon is in the Ring top 5, call us.

    Meanwhile, for next week:

Wlad calls out Sergei Liakhovich, 12 rounds.

Arreola vs. Thompson (assuming Toney steps aside for USBA) 12 rounds

    Shannons comments

"That fool Wladimir is ducking me like he did back in 2006. He has no guts to face me. But that ok. I will destroy Cuban Odlanier Solis instead."

We propose Shannon Briggs vs. Odlanier Solis (10 rounds)
If fight cannot be made Briggs would like to face Chagaev. In a last resolt Briggs will face Maurice Harris as stay busy opponent

Also is the WBA regular title going to be on the line, like it would in the real life?
