Sometimes I need to break out my Henry Maske DVD career set to restoke the fires of interest. What a joy those times can be.

I dont watch fights anymore. Im not even involved in boxing anymore. All my posts are from what I experienced and what I remember from a long time ago.
You can watch 100 fights everyday and you cant compress the understanding of the sport. It takes years and years of watching and learning to understand it. If not you'll become a Max Kellerman who knows all the outcomes of every fight but doesnt know **** about the actual mechanics of the sport. Sometimes I would watch the same fight for a week straight to fully understand what a fighter was doing.

When did you stop being a trainer?

I was never a trainer on my own. I just had the privlege of working with the great Angelo Dundee and some of his assistants through the 90's. We took fighters to Emanuel Steward, Teddy Atlas, Duva/Benton and Tommy Brooks for work and sparring, so I got to be around a lot of great minds of the sports to learn.

No I haven't because I'm not a fan of boxing or boxing history & I feel no obligation inn me to defend it, to denigrate it, to champion it to others, or shame people for enjoying it. But: it is interesting! And more than a hobby for sure!

And I realize that I am 100% dedicated all the time so guilt is not an issue!

Ever thought of giving training ago by yourself, your boxing knowledge on the mechanics of boxing is spot on.

I don't feel guilty about loving (or not loving boxing) its just a great thing I love.

Hell, folk think I'm crazy for staying home to watch a fight, or do a guys corner or fight myself, rather than go to a party or whatever. I make no apoligies for that either.

Sometimes, but it's no biggie. We're human beings. We've got our own **** to deal with.
