Ever gotten emotional over a fight?

Good, because I've opined much about Norton vs guys like Foreman, Shavers, Cooney and Young, who I think beat Kenny, and it's mostly been somewhat negative...but at the same time I'm convinced that Norton won that 3rd fight with Ali and should have been crowned champion that time..I'd hate it if the real Norton would get pissy like that poster does so easily, because I have much, much respect for the real Nortn and the way he dealt with Ali, which IMO, makes him a special fighter in the history of the sport...just for the way he did vs Ali.

 

tyson holyfield two had me so emotional, it's the closest I've ever come to breaking a tv.

 

well it was on PPV and close circuit. It was on something called ON TV here in california or maybe select tv. I could watch the fight scrambled on UHF channel 21 or something, but no sound. It was hard to know what was happening. Maybe for 10 seconds a round the screen would look normal. Then I listened to the radio and Rory Markus was doing round by round on I think KFWB news. All I could see in the scrambled mode and what it looked like was Hearns throwing right after right and Hagler moving forward. You could tell that was happening. At the end of round one Rory Markus said "wow! if this fight continues at this pace it will not last very long".

 

you don't see that kind of class too often. He was at ringside when Mancini fought Frias and rooting him on.

 

So -- if we make it to The Emerald Queen in January you're going to be on your feet cussing and screaming right next me?

By The way, Sanchezfan lives like 20 minutes from the casino, and he wants to go too. Talked to my brother inlaw, and he's in as well. Could shape up to be a really fun night!
