Roberto Duran looked terrified at the staredown with Hearns. And i dont ****ing blame him, Hearns to me is the scariest boxer ever. In some way a Hearns straight with those long, sharp looking stab you in the face arms sounds scarier to me than a Tyson uppercut

    Alex Stewart against Mike Tyson.

Jameel McCline against Wladimir Klitschko. Wlad's feint staggered him.

Tyson did look scared when he was walking into the ring against Lewis. He looked intimidated in the staredown in the Holyfield rematch. Then again, I try not to read too much into the pre-fight staredown. Tyson was even looking a little intimidated in the pre-fight staredown against Bruno. Then the bell rang and you saw what happened.

People read way too much into staredowns, full stop. Look at any pre fight staredowns with prime Tyson and he hardly ever looked at his opponent....it was only when he came out of prison he tried to look bad to get an extra edge, the reason was by that stage he actually needed it.

    Bruno vs Tyson II.

Bruno looked like he'd rather have a proctologist named Dr. Hook than be in that fight.

I know...whenever the topic of best staredowns comes up, people always say Tyson.

Do people actually watch his fights?

    For the people who remember:

Anybody remember Spinks on his way to the ring that night? He came out to This Is It by Michael McDonald or some crap like that...and all I remember is some fan screaming out "GO GET EM MICHAEL! KNOCK HIM OUT!" It was something ridiculously positive and encouraging to try and will Spinks on. Michael turned to the fan with this sorry look on his face and goes "I'mma try"

    Absolutely no confidence whatsoever.

I don't remember it, have to go back and check. I own the fight but don't remember if it has ring entrances.

Funny thing is I remember Pac looking scared on his way in against Hoya. He really looked visibly scared. Looks were very deceiving that time around.

What's sad about Spinks is that if anybody remembers him at all, they don't remember his terrific LHW reign consisting of wins over Marvin Johnson, Yaqui Lopez, Dwight Braxton, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, etc., all they remember is that 91 second pasting from the hands of a prime Mike Tyson at HW. People don't remember that he wasn't even supposed to be a HW champion since he was something like a 6-1 underdog against Larry Holmes, moving up for the first time from LHW.

Well, Monte Barrett hit the deck before the Haye fight ever started. I think he was looking for the closest exit.

Not to mention that he was outstanding against Gerry Cooney. An absolute paintbrush job.
