Well considering we didnt have the head gear, i caught him with a monster uppercut. And he took it like nothing, im pretty heavy handed and but he walked throught it and smiled. I usually at least get a reaction from the dance partner. But kinda like cotto/margarito, the mofo walked through everything. Thats kinda when you know its not going to end good.atsch So i learned that, that dude not only hit like a ton of bricks, but took a good punch. Maybe i just didnt have enough to keep him off of me. After the match, he told me i had good power though. Maybe the mofo was being nice.:huh
What a bad feelin' it mustta been, D -- knownin' you're heavy handed -- landin' a solid shot, an' NOTHIN'!
Sparred a few mid-level guys. Learned how good you have to be to even have a winning record, and realized I wasn't good enough for it myself.
Had the chance to spar with Carl Froch at Gedling once when I was 14 - even him, a Pro fighter who I think is the most overrated, was good lol The fitness aspect of Pro boxing overwhelmed me
I did with Wlad...I learned to NEVER DO IT AGAIN... and he was at 1/2 speed OUCH!!!!!!!!!!:| :| :| :| :| :| I have done mitts with him. Thought my arm was falling off:| :| :|
Yeah, just a couple of pros. I wouldn't say that sparring a pro is some godly experience...but I haven't done it a million times either.
matt godfrey, jason estrada, phill miller, angel camacho jr, and some more that dont come to mind right now all different sizes you def learn from sparring with pros i have more of a pro style so i would rather spar with pros
