There are 100s of research papers supporting Creatine

All world class Sprinters and Endurance athletes use creatine in their supplement stacks. Theres no such thing as a big slow athlete its a contradiction in terms

If there's no such thing as a big, slow athlete....then why is the heavyweight division full of big, slow fighters?

These big/slow HWs training/ability is poor, its not the creatines fault. Mosley/Delahoya/RJJ use creatine and are far from slow.

My reference to 'athlete' was that of an elite track and field competitor. In Europe athlete=track and field

What's the best time of day to take creatine? How many times a day do you take the "new" creatine?

silvy you forgot "Rumors abound about creatine and often stem from the public confusing creatine with an anabolic steroid and not from factual occurrences" this bit when you cut and pasted your findings, you also replaced the word 'steroids' with the word 'creatine' why the hell would you do that?

Completely false and laughable WHERE DID YOU GET THIS INFO FROM CHRIS? Those are steroid side effects not creatine side effects. I've used creatine for 10 years and never had any of those side effects and I deeply care about my health, I lost a friend yesterday to alcohol related liver failure and now do not drink and have never touched steroids.

You have to look at the science and effects of creatine in the body and look at these proposed side effects and the only way those side effects would occur would be if Creatine had an effect on hormone levels. That is the only way creatine could illicit those effects. Creatine does not affect hormones so it simply does not have the properties to give those side effects

This is the exact same story i've heard from friends that thought creatine would make them stronger and faster. But all it did was that their muscles pumped full with blood, and that just makes them slower.

And why are you promoting creatine like this, PowerPuncher?
If you think that creatine will do you and your boxing abilities any good then use it, man! but don't try to convience us of the benefits.

you have no idea what so ever of what you are talking about, pumps muscle with blood?:rofl :patsch

if your not convinced of the benefits, simple dont use it, but dont discredit facts,

what exactly was your friend doing with creatine? taking it for bodybuilding? or was he taking creatine and thinking he will magically gain insane speed and stamina? do you even know what the word SUPPLEMENT means?

i guess your friends are better than alot of pro boxers right?

You only need to take creatine once daily in a 5gram serving whether its Creatine Monohydrate, Creatine Ethyl Ester or Creatine Malate. You should take creatine with fruit juice because the sugar will help your body absorb more creatine

Loading Creatine (25grams a day) is a big mistake because your body will get too much creatine and will start flushing creatine out of the muscles. SO IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH CREATINE YOU WILL HAVE LESS CREATINE IN YOUR MUSCLES. You will also put unnessary stress on the kidneys using too much creatine

Taking Creatine once or twice daily will take longer for the muscles to saturate with creatine (1-2weeks) but once saturated

Creatine should be taken between meals and 15-45miniutes prior to exercise

I have used creatine on and off for the last 5 years, Creatine Monohydrate is pretty cheap with alot servings, I guess I used that the most with little or no results.

There was a product I used a couple years ago that was effective, it was called Meta Cell. I took this product for 2 months and gained 10 pounds during that time, I was excited by the results and looked foward to buying more and to my surprise GNC took it off the market, I asked why and no one had an answer for me.

I stopped taking any kind of creatine for a month and lost 8 of the 10 pounds in that time, after that I was convinced water weight and puffy look is the only thing creatine ever gave me. I now only buy Protein at my local GNC, because I finally realized after all these years its the one true supplement other than something illegal, that will give the benefits

so we agree on this part!!!
If you think you need to use creatine to be a better boxer, then use it!!
I don't think creatine will help me to get a better boxer because of what i have heard of friends that used it.

Guys, it's very simple - ALL of you take creatin accept may be vegeterians. So - no matter what you think of it - you do consume it while eating meats and fish. How ever - it's not THAT easy to provide your body with enough creatin (from the "normal" food) - assuming that you train hard.
Thats the simple reason why MOST professional athlets like sprint runners, boxers and many others do use it with different success.
Some people do not respond significantly (benefit) - because their own body produce enough from "normal" food. Vegetarians are those that supposed to benefit greatly. Side effects like water retention and slightly increased weight are not present with 5 - 6 g daily doze.
This is very much like protein - we all take it from "normal" food but if we train hard enough than it's becoming hard to maintain positive protein balance. It's still possible but takes too much time and food.
