I see Jimmy Mclarnin included in British lists and I can't really agree with it.

McLarnin went to Canada at the age of 3 and in any records or articles I have ever read he is always referred to as Canadian even though he became an American citizen in his mid 20's.

The historians list McLarnin as Canadian and this is the interpretation I prefer as McLarnin learned to box in Canada and fought as a pro in Canada before making his way to the States.

It is not surprising that McLarnin was happy to be associated with Ireland as the Irish style of fightin was very popular with fight fans at the time. As we know many Jewish fighters fought under an Irish alias at this time.

I don't see Fitz as British either considering that he not only never stepped in an English ring he also never stepped foot in England after he left as a 9 year old.
