not really. imo either mans win further enchances the others reputation. even though jmm arguably lost 2x on paper, the ability he's shown in both pac fights, by being neck and neck (some might argue, being an inch better) with the consus p4p #1, makes him equally as celebrated among true fans. imo they're 1-1 with each other. pac taking the first fight, jmm the second. both of which were so close that a draw would'nt have been a robbery.

Every Marquez win shows Marquez is a top top fighter that Pacquiao had close fights with. And the reverse is also true. That is all.

We don't transfer these wins to Pacquiao or Marquez and give them credit each time, we don't know how he would have faired as they are completely different styles of fighter. Only one guy does the training, studies his opponent and then puts a performance and win down on his resume.
