wins over willimas twice even though he got robbed the first time

williams is a guy that everybody was running from and martinez beat him convincingly

he took pavlik when nobody gave him a chance and he beat him and won a UD

Sergie diz was undefeated and champion coming up in weight but an undefeated champion

Thats a lot better than fighting a hatton that was exposed already by floyd

a weight drained over the hill dlh

cotto that was coming off a brutal ko of margarito

and a margarito that got ko by mosley after being caught trying to cheat and by the way margaritos whole careeer is in question now cause he hasnt dont **** since..

honeslty pac since he fought marquez at 135 has done anything special i dont care what the media tries to shove down our throats his last wins are very overrated

and he's fighting mosley next.. the supposedly p4p #1 fighting mosley that alone should drop him out of the top ten

    :hat

    Margo vs Alexander?
    Cotto vs Bradley?
    Clottey vs Berto?

All those guys are prime...yet Pac's last 3 past prime opponents destroys em. Clottey-Berto would be pretty close and interesting.

Not many WW's could have beaten Cotto or Clottey at WW at the time Pac fought em, yet I could think of 10 MW's who would be favourite over Dzinziruk yet that win is getting so much momentum.

He didn't get robbed the first fight, he lost. Dzin sucks, plain and simple. He's eurotrash. Sergio loses to every top 10 SMW, Pirog, Kirkland and there are a dozen middleweights and half a dozen jr MW's who would be a pick em fight with Sergio. p4p #1 or #2? Get the **** out of here. ****ing idiotic. He's probably not even the best middleweight, for ****'s sake.

Martinez is being hyped as the next great thing by HBO, because they lost their stars to Showtime. The people here posting that Sergio is anywhere near the top of the p4p lists are the idiots who believe whatever they hear from the TV.

 I was just thinking this when I read that Martinez P4P over Pac thread title. It's not even big fights that make people go nuts.

Except he didnt just win one, hes won three big ones in a row now, two by knockouts. Nothing at all wrong with people arguing for him knocking on #1's door.

i think it's good that there are different boxers at the top with the potential to develop into atgs like martinez and donaire. that said people saying martinez fights young prime competition seem to forget dzinziruk was 35 and had never fought at 160 and had recently come back from an 18 month lay off. and most people thought for pac that de la hoya, hatton, cotto and clottey were strong opponents to face at the time and the fact he looked so dominant beating them was what generated the legacy and fans, but also hate from some people. kind of like whats happening at the moment with martinez, he's getting a lot of credit but i didn't think it will be long before some start criticising him. i was really impressed by martinez's performance btw, but it's the equivalent of pac fighting miguel vazquez at 140- a guy coming up in weight but of similiar size, an accomplished boxer, good but not that good resume, could make pac look bad. how much credit would you give pac for destroying him?

this win as absolute garbage. hatton was done after mayweather whooped his ass. then mayweather sr. helped him get his asswhooped again by trying to change him to a completely different fighter than from what he was. GET REAL

Yes ppl go crazy specially after the Donaire fight

but Martinez had a good win

an old dog leanred new tricks and out jabbed a considered p4p jabber moved less and dropped him 5 times on the way to a big TKO

after a big KO of Williams

after a big win over Pavlik

he is on a good run still not gonna crown him til he beats Sturm which I think is a 50/50 match
