Every time I watch Mayweather-Castillo I, it becomes more clear JLC won.

I gave it to Castillo as well, and expected him to do even better in the rematch. I was wrong, as Floyd kicked his ass in the return bout.

I think in the opposite way, JLC ( who was just 3-1-1 in title fights) did better in the rematch and the scorecards confirm it - Judge Van Der Will 115-113 Mayweather, Judge Larry O'Connor 116-113 Mayweather, Ken Morita 115-113 Mayweather ( same scores as Cotto-Mosley even though, let's not compare a throwback classic fight with this one). The ramatch was in Mandalay Bay and on the undercard of Klitschko vs McCline and Castillo was 9 pounds heavier ( Mayweather at 138 pounds) and Joe Cortez was the ref... Mayweather started on landing solid jabs, hooks and moving out to the point of Larry having one of those great lines "Mayweather punches and moves out, it can be effective but it doesn't move me" - he was very effective, double, triple jabbing going back and sideways until JLC grabbed him and nailed some of tose borderline/ low/ kidney punches 40 s left on the clock in round 5. It was all Castillo from that point on ( specially round 7 with JL nailing him on the body and head with both hands and in close) and Mayweather runnning and countering like hell, Cortez did warn Castillo but never took a point away ( Floyd and Roger complained a lot)... Mayweather was a sight of relief as he finished the fight with a bloody nose and on his bum as Castillo pushed him at the sound of the final bell... Mayweather won comfortably in the judges eyes and in my own eyes the first time around.

Pretty Void lost that fight. Therefore, I was surprised when on my thread: "Do you consider Mayweather undefeated?" the responses were mostly "yes..."

Floyd won that fight, it was a close fight, but Floyd clearly won.

The sad part is if the judges had got that fight right we wouldnt have to put up with so much BS for the so called #1 p4p boxer.

It's just stupid how people pick this one fight to examine Floyd's whole career. Don't you also remember he gave him a rematch and won 8-4 on my card. The first fight was close but I gave it to Floyd. If you gave it to Castillo fine but you've gotta remember he didn't do a "Camacho" and not give the guy a rematch.

    :huh

The judges DID get it right, although perhaps by too large a margin.
