look at the post fight vid. he was weary of vitali and even moreso by a prospect of a rematch. Vitali was the reason he retired

Nothing to do with the fact numerous times he was quoted saying he only wanted to fight Tyson and Jones Jr, the 2 biggest cash cows in the division?

Also, how often in history has a fighter fought his mandatory only to be told he has to fight him again straight afterwards??? Go on, name them.

Of course Lewis knew Vitali was tough as nails, but that's just a small part of the larger picture as to why he quit boxing.

Saying Vitali retired him is too simplistic.

Reread my post, do some math and get back to me you thick ****.

Infact I'm not giving you the credit, if Vitali had lost one of those 4 rounds what would the score on the cards be??

Just made a complete fool of yourself:rofl:patsch:lol:

:good This is why its so hard to rank wins. That fight could have been very different with those intangibles. Many people looking back at this fight will not know these details.

Weary? Where the **** did you get that from? Lewis was angry in the post-fight interview. Did you not see him grab the microphone out of Larry Marchant's hand and repeatedly say "look at his face."

In my opinion (which is what you should have said), Lewis was angry that Vitali had the best of the fight even though he won. But at the same time, Lewis realised he wasn't in the best of shape, nor in his prime, and didn't give the best account of himself in the fight. He was frustrated.

I just don't think Lewis had the motivation for a rematch and, in no small part, that could have been because he realised his powers were waining.

I agree... Lennox wanted no part of a Vitali rematch and didn't want to be questioned about one so he took the high road and quit. Had RJJ stood at HW to fight him he would not have retired.

The worst thing about Vitaly keeping on winning is the fodder for poster's bringing up that pseudo intellectual, ***** Lewis.

The problem with the Lewis vs Klit fight is that we never truly got to find out who was the better fighter
