Everybody chill out on Stevenson -- the Kovalev fight will happen in 2014.

    ...he's on record saying Kovalev will be one of the 3 guys he fights in 2014. Probably summer or fall/winter considering the few rumors about a Fonfara/April fight.

    Anybody can think of a decent opponent for Kovalev on HBO for April, assuming they actually want to put them in a double header again?

    Stevenson-Fonfara, Kovalev- ...Pascal? (regardless of the Bute fight outcome) E. Alvarez? :bbb

    I'm afraid the HBO/Showtime war would prevent Kovalev from fighting either guy.

    Well Kovalev could fight Alvarez or Beterbiev and fight in Montreal to keep promoting a Stevenson and Kovalev clash, assuming he wins both, which he probably wouldnt though.

    Even though Beterbiev has only a few fights, he's someone I wouldn't put in with Kovalev. He's dangerous and hits just as hard. Could derail everything. FWIW, I think he beat him in the amateurs so they would be familiar with each other.

    Hmm yeah, make that Alvarez or Pascal. Beterbiev wouldn't even be ranked @ WBO I think...

    No he doesnt , too easy to hit. These two hit too hard , fast and accurate.

    Stevenson stops all at 175.
