i like it for the past couple of years or more that bhop has this unusually high rating especially in their p4p ratings just because the one in charge of the "program" is a big fan, iirc when i used to post there.

Jesus, it's a good job you warned us. That was a close run thing, I was just about to start regarding them when I happened to read your post.

 

Computer rankings are a fair way of judging ranks but really it is very hamfosted about who is ranked higher.
Look at ibos rankings, 2years ago at welter it had clottey above mayweather. True and funny stuff.
It may take away bias but just a case of misjudging

Alot of rankings seem odd to me, and I agree Boxrec rankings do often seem strange, but then so do the Ring and Boxing Monthly rankings at times.
If theres a contender fighting out of a country that the magazine journalists come from, the journalists in question see more of that fighter from their own country than another good prospect from another country who they dont see or hear as much of. I remember seeing a picture of an Australian Boxing mag where they were rating Mundine before he fought Ottke as a top fighter. It happens with The Ring all the time in my opinion, how can they have Hopkins as #3 LHW when before his rematch with Jones hadnt fought a LHW since beating Tarver June 06 and fought the Jones rematch in April 04. G Johnson is #2 LHW for beating Y Mack who was KOd at SMW by L Andrade, and Johnson was clearly beaten in his return with Dawson

 

The only rankings that mean something to me are my own. The only ones that are totally neutral and objective. :deal

 

Eastside Boxing has there own rankings. You can all get involved and give your opinion on them. if a certain numer of fans disagree with something, the rankings will change accordingly.

Exactly. People are often starting random threads about how weird the boxrec rankings are, and then we have to say "Hello, McFly!" and school them on it.
