    Oh my god. Larry is fanatastic. Not sure if ever saw Eddie Murphy's bit about him but it kills me everytime. Lots of swearing though.

    don't understand how anybody doesn't respect Holmes' fighting skills and his honesty. One of the best and IMO, the best jab ever.

    LH saying Foreman can't fight doesn't mean that GF can't win fights, LH just meant that GF seemed to lack conventional skills. Boxing people might say GF could punch hard or he pressured his opponent, and he beat people who "could fight" but you'll probably never hear a trainer say GF "could fight."

    Boxing people usually reserve "he can/could fight" for boxers with good conventional skills. Curtis Stevens never became a champion, but most people in boxing will say that "Stevens can fight." A fighter gets much respect from trainers and other fighters for having skills.

    Plus, while I think Holmes in his prime would have stopped or won a decision over prime Foreman, I think Foreman would have made him work and Holmes would have had to dig deep in the well for that win.

    Holmes does come up with some zingers. For Marciano it was "he couldn't carry my jockstrap!". I have a World Boxing mag from 1980 with Holmes on the cover and him quoted saying, "I'm going to crucify Ali!!"
