Foreman had 2 careers and did very well in both of them, the older version knew his strengths and weaknesses and managed them very well, the younger version had enough strengths to not pay attention to his weaknesses. Once Foreman became Champion he defended against the top contenders for the most part. So that is one area where Foreman has Holmes beat, Foreman defended against Norton,Ali,Frazier. Larry could box but avoided the better men of his era, just too many.

that was a shocker for sure. And Marciano's brother was at the fight and later at the press conference where someone was interviewing him and he told the interviewer "lets listen more to what Larry has to say". I don't blame the Marciano's for being upset, he sort of took Rocky over the side with him on that first Spinks fight. I have to admit Larry's comments over the years have been great. He says what he feels and sometimes people don't like it, but he is honest.

Unafraid to speak his mind, and often right - I remember prior to Tyson-Holyfield I, with Tyson a 5-1 favorite, Holmes predicted: "Evander's gonna take him into deep water and drown him."

In 1988, he predicted Tyson would be in jail in four years; given Mike's tendencies, not a hard call to make, but very good guess as to the time frame ...

He don't say what he feels or thinks, what he says is out of jealousy n frustration cause he never got the credit he deserved.

    I was at that HOF.

Larry went off on the whole crew. Good point but harsh in how he came across. He asked those who run the event, what do you do with the money you make here? Do you help the fighters retired and old, or U just making money off fighters legacy.
Dude went off!!! Talked about the Highschool they use on saturday to sell Ring merchandise, even though the fair grounds is free to enter, the actual small building where the picture are at, got to have a ticket, same with the highschool...need a ticket.
He asked .."any of us fighters getting a cut? Hell naw!"
He went down the numbers man, Friday night at the Rusty Ale house, $75 dollard. Banquet on Saturday, $135, meet and greet ..I forgot how much that was.
its Like $90 I think for the BBQ Sat afternoon and xtra to play golf...but fans dont get the course the boxers play on.
That video was his whole attitude during the IBHOF 2008 weekend. Great points, but darn, bro, chill, you made it, sing some Bobby Mcfarrin Don't worry be happy.

Larry Holmes talks out of his ass a lot. Foreman was a great fighter both when he was young and old. Not only was he one of the most physical forces ever in the heavyweight division he also had a great jab and was a master of cutting off the ring and picking the right punches to score a knockout.
