I'm not even sure it was Marvin's best round ever. I'm partial to Hagler - Mugabi round 6. You be the judge:

Cracking stuff here, Mugabi was packing granite in that chin strap.

I think the Hearns fight is considered greater and more memorable for a few non-technical things though: Marvin was genuinely wobbled in the opening 10 secs against Hearns but isn't so much in trouble against Mugabi, just in danger (as the commentators refer to) of punching himself out a bit.
Also Hearns is/was the bigger name.

Great round! Man, that was brutal.

Is it safe to say that Mugabi got the prime beat out of him that night?

Marvin Hagler is one of the meanest, toughest, nastiest and baddest men to ever walk the planet, in my view.

The epitome of a "tough guy".

I think the magnitude of the fight had a lot to do with it. Wildly exciting sure, but I also don't think it was the best round ever.

I think it's the fact that it was the first round of the fight that makes it stand out. It wasn't a boxing match, it was a war!!

I've always been partial to the Caveman Lee-Losicero (sp.) final round. We were whooping and hollering and I was screaming at my friends saying: "What in the world! Can you believe this??"

Check out **** Tiger vs Frankie De Paula and also George Foreman vs Ron Lyle. There are rounds in those two fights that are atleast on a par with Hearns vs Hagler.

    That was a great round.

Often times fights between competent clubfighters/fringe contenders had great back and forth action. Their defense was often deficient enough to ensure great action.

LoCicero himself is on youtube leaving comments on some fights. I complimented him on his fight with Lee and he responded. It's cool when actual fighters post videos and/or comment on them on youtube. James Tillis has a youtube page and has posted a bunch of his fights.

Yeah, Lee-Locicero was brutal. Holmes - Norton 15 was also great.

Round 10/11 of Holyfield/Bowe II was awesome.

Some of the rounds of the Vasquez/Marquez trilogy (f*ck the 4th fight) were some of the best and my favourite rounds of Boxing ever!

Round 9 of Holmes vs Spoon was epic!

However I'd go for Hagler vs Hearns R1 regardless.

The end of Taylor vs Chavez is one of the best I've seen.
