Oh for goodness sake Mitch, I know you really dislike him (and I respect that you're entitled to your opinion) but how on earth - with a straight face - can you say that Whyte beats Fury. It's just a ridiculous opinion.

He wasn't aggressive enough because he was worried about what was coming back at him... same as when he fought AJ.

Another boring points win in his last outing.

    Parker isn't beating Whyte

Not convinced Fury is anywhere near the standard he was pre retirement. You only have to look at the gulf in quality of opponent and peformances since Fury has come out of retirement to see why Whyte I would be heavily favour Whyte. It's not just resumes and peformances the past 5 years but its a bad match for Fury stylistically too.

I think that’s bonkers Mitch. There’s going against the grain and there’s this. I’m not sure how on earth it can be seen as a bad match up for Fury. Even Aydamn (may god rest his soul) admitted Fury would beat Whyte and Whyte’s style gave Fury a big advantage.

I know you obsessively try to play down the Wilder win and think he’s fought a ‘bad level of opponent’ and won’t change your mind on that which is fine - I think you’re completely wrong but there’s no point going over old ground on that.

Tbh I think your dislike of Fury clouds your judgement on things like this.

He turned down a 6 or 7 million pound offer to fight AJ in 2019.
For the WBA, IBF, WBO belts.

Each to their own of course but I can't see how Whyte is a 'bad style' for Fury. No footwork, poor defence, no stamina.

And 3 final eliminators. Poor Dillian.

The context for these wacky opinions is because Mitch really dislikes Fury and won't say a good word about him. Most of his posts seem to be criticising Fury overtly or indirectly through trying to make the Wilder win seem as unimpressive as possible.

    Whyte is generally extremely overrated.

His best wins are a slightly dodgy one against the ever-disappointing Parker and a KO of a shot 41 year old Covid refugee Povetkin.
He went 1-1 with the old man.

Rivas and Chisora are decent opponents but nothing special.

Hype has done a lot for Whyte's rating.

I'd actually like Whyte as a fighter if he wasn't being sold as something he's not.
He's a tough, decent strong heavyweight, British-level really, 'fringe world class' at best.

I think he's fairly likeable, but has been very well pushed by Matchroom. They've essentially taken someone who's a slight upgrade on Chisora and made him a fighter they regularly put on PPV. They've done a good job in fairness. He is very limited though imo, just tough and carries decent power.

Anyone with better power and/or movement beats him fairly handily imo. I wouldn't give Whyte much of a chance against Joshua, Fury, Usyk or Wilder. I think Joyce would beat him also. Think Ruiz might be closer but would favour Andy as he's the better boxer. Then there are plenty of others who would give him a tough night - Parker, Hunter etc.

If Fury is able to beat someone of proven quality like AJ, Whyte, Hunter, Povetkin, Parker, Ruiz and Pulev then I would hold my hands up admit I called it wrong. However I'm just unconvinced from Furys peformances against the opposition he fought so far in his return that he anywhere ner the level he was against Wlad and Chisora 2.

Why I say Whyte is a bad match stylistically is because Whyte isn't Wilder. Whyte is physically much, much stronger than wilder and I can't see Fury physically bulling Whyte as he did with Wilder. Although Whyte is and can be a "sloppy" fighter that leaves himself open for counters i feel people really do underestimate his very good jab and how effective he is going to the body and is technically much better than Wilder. I just feel Fury would really struggle with Whyte's physicality and punching power and as we saw in the Wallin fight Fury isnt the Sweet Pea or Mayweather defensive master as some portray him to be.

    I agree.
He got past Parker by the skin of his teeth, and Parker's been quite badly overrated too.
He was on the deck against Rivas in a fairly close fight.
Sparked out by Povetkin, an OLD man.
Was lucky to get the decision in first Chisora fight too.
Joshua beat him up and damn near tore his head off.

So, it's really not difficult to imagine him losing a few more.

But they've got it so every fight in hyped on PPV and even if he loses, he gets a chance in a rematch if he wants it, on PPV again.

Look, they will probably never fight.
Fury will probably retire undefeated or with 1 or 2 losses, and be remembered as a world champion and a personality and a very good boxer at least.
Whyte will probably retire with about 10 losses and be remembered as an entertaining heavyweight brawler who was never true world class.
But since they never fought, you'll be free to continue your fantasy forever.
