I for one feel sorry for the guy. He Isn't talked about at all after the Maidana defeat. This guy had the world at his feet before that fight. I feel he will go far. This guy has raw power and Is still young.

And what is everyone's take on Campbell-Ortiz? I feel it will be an exciting test for Ortiz and thoroughly test him.

He quit and now the people don't care.

He has to redeem himself for the people to get talking again.

He'll easily beat Campbell and win a belt somehow but his lack of heart shows that he wont be something truly great in this sport.

Victor turned most of his fans off by the lack of heart he posses...Nobody can deny his talent, but fans dont forget how he bitched in the Madina fight...He showed no heart on how he was complaining how he wasnt suppose to be hit so hard...IMO that left a bad tast in my mouth as fan...I really enjoyed watching him fight but once the going gets tough for him I dont know if he will fold up and ***** or keep on fighting....Thats just me though, I want to see him go a long way but he has to correct his personal problem first before I ride the bandwagon again.

If only he had half the heart of the late Gatti, he would go far in this sport. Talent alone is not enough at the very elite level.

I haven't forgotten Ortiz. I was really disappointed w/ what he did and say after the Maidana fight. He's going to have to do something spectacular for me to become his fan again. Beating Campbell would be a start.

He needs to get off his ass, shorten his vacation, and work his way back up.

If you're worried about the dangers of getting into boxing, then why take up said sport in the first place? I think he's got some talent though, to be fair.

Golden Boy is saving him for next year.
After the heart check he took from Maidana, They slowed down the process.
I follow GB's plan now, They are putting their older warriors out to pasture now..
    The JMM's, The Mosley's ect...

ITs not so much that he quit its what he said in the post fight interview.

The kid definately has all the skills to be p4p #1. But it doesnt sound like he has the heart to do it.
The really really bad part is he is of Mexican decent. Mexican fighters are known for heart and determination. Those are the 2 things he is missing. Its going to be really hard to sell him to the Mexican public which is the biggest PPV buying audience.
