    He is still on the PEDS and simply doesn’t have the time to cycle off of them. If he tests positive he gets neither fight. Makes no other sense not to take the fights

    It’s my understanding that he made around 500k for the Wilder fight. With that said,
    It would be closer to 10 times that amount. Great money for Ortiz.

    There may be something in this with regard to why some fighters refuse the fight.

    Ortiz is an over-hyped whale of a fighter who is not a top 10 fighter . US boxers are a complete sham right now unwilling to fight AJ on their own soil is what this is . Fury made a complete mess of Wilder in the west coast and now AJ has taken over MSG without firing a single blow and every American boxer is unwilling to defend their own turf , what an absolute embarrassing disgrace US HW boxers are . Breazeale , Martin and Johnson are the only real Americans as far as I'm concerned at least they actually box and give it their best unlike Kownacki , Ortiz and Wilder .

    At his grand old age it probably takes Ortiz 6 weeks just to get down the stairs.

    Ortiz is way past it, as he was when he fought Windmill. I'd rather see Joshua v Whyte.

    Man, Haymon fighters get a lot more than the stated purse. Interviews with some of their staff and fighters indicate it.

    How much notice did Ortiz have for the Wilder fight?

    Ortiz just simply doesn’t fancy his chances against AJ. Yet it’s still bizarre to me because he’ll get paid a fortune and AJ has shown vulnerabilities in the past.

    He can also fight some ''bum'' for 200K-500K and end up losing by KO. You never know what can happen in a boxing ring.

    lol I was thinking something similar. The fools are blaming Ortiz, but he's freaking 50 yrs old. Why are you not putting the 20-30yr olds on full blast??
