I heard everybody that encountered Juanma has asked him if he wants to hit the casino.

Don't really think anyone should be making fun of Lopez, he fought the best he could against Salido.

That is hard to believe. Why would they hate a humble guy like Cotto?

People here love Cotto I don't know why anyone would say differently. The natives were just turned off by his attitude because Tito was so lovable and Cotto is stoic all the time.

They're making fun of Juanma not because he lost and not only because of the post fight comments (they're actually ashamed of that ****) but because he lost by not correcting simple mistakes. I mean, people here love, absolutely love boxing. They follow the sport, and most know the basics about it. At fight-night there were people screaming at the tv wondering why Juanma would stand still, straight neck up in front of Salido which everyone knows for a fact loves to pressure and throw overhands and wide hooks. Only after being tagged repeadetly did it occur to juanma to move, and then he just stood there again, neck straight in front of him waiting for salido to come whilst throwing wild sloppy punches 'cause you know, herpderp i'm strong, never ad******g at any time. Also, a lot of people here resent him cause they see him as losing to a smaller, slower and weaker fighter that was throwing sundaypunches all night long. I asked a lot of people if it's cause he lost to a mexican and surprisingly enough, most are relived it was to a mexican cause they're like our cousins that we fight every once in a while and make great fights.

But really people are taking it personally cause it's ******ed, he said they were specializing in correcting mistakes, a new juanma and all that crap, then he goes on, gets in better shape and does the exact same thing again and again.

Strength, determination and courage is all well but you need to be a complete fighter if you want to be a big gamer.

totally agree. let the guy catch his breath. let his corner inform him of what just happened. let him settle down. don't stick a mic in his face while emotions are running high.

I dont know why honestly. I've spoken with a lot of PR's (I myself am one) and most just seem to dislike him. Maybe its because he isnt as charismatic as past PR champions? Maybe because he lost against Pac & Marg? I dunno.

    I support him fully though.

Seems like very few Puerto Ricans are giving Salido props for

. He not only went to Juan Manuel Lopez' backyard, he went in there with a few new wrinkles in his game. He showed heart, determination, and a great will to win. He was not only fighting JML, he was fighting the crowd, the ref, and most importantly the corrupt judges. He beat down Lopez with the cards stacked against him, and for that he deserves a ton of credit. Even after getting his ass handed to him, JML couldn't even congratulate Salido properly.
