    Indeed !:)

I think we will never know what is the problem with GSP right now. Maybe it's the belt, maybe it was the Serra fight.

If the problem is the belt then that's why from a certain point of view I like the bellator format. There is always competition, you can win the title but you don't necessairly defend it. It has it advantage and it inconvenient !

If its the Serra fight then...I think he need to get over it !;)

Shields presented even more of an opportunity than I thought to be knocked out. GSP was not interested in taking it. He has become the complete Floyd Mayweather of MMA.

For me personnaly the Kosh fight was worst.

I remember at least 2 or 3 time when GSP hit him with some shot and Kosh was wobly. If GSP would have opened the machine just a little more he would have got the KO/TKO !

Thats because people forget that yes GSP is boring but Shields is the king of boredom.

He is the most boring fighter in the history of combat sports, dating back to ancient Greece.

I really cant name anyone more boring than Shields hence a boring fight.

First off, it's too bad that GSP went with that looping Chuck Liddell style right to get around the high guard instead of mixing in well thrown straight rights to the body. With Sheilds backing up the way he was, he was in no real danger of a counter and they would have been more effective than what he was doing.

That said, the criticism of him not finishing Koscheck is infinitely more warranted than not finishing Sheilds due to the simple fact that Koschek was the one who couldn't see out of one eye in that fight and it was GSP in the other. GSP was OWNING Sheilds before the eye injury and "only" beat him decisively after. It wasn't a great fight, but there's no way that GSP lost a round of that fight. People who are claiming that GSP should have been able to just go out there and stop Sheilds seem to forget that Shields' shitty stand up hasn't seen him knocked out against Hendo, Lawler, Condit etc etc etc. That fact that GSP schooled him and none of those guys came close should ****ing count for something.

Do I wish he had stopped Sheilds the way he stopped Penn and Hughes and Serra? Sure. Does every guy Sheilds has fought in the last what, five years wish the same thing? I'm sure they do.

dude how do you know that im pretty certain that you werent alive then and if your referring to Pankration that was probably the most ruthless hand to hand combat sport ever. I mean gsp is boring now but people who say jake is boring is forgetting that he has finished more fights than gsp.

Didn't need to put his lights out, a TKO achieves the same thing.

    Simple for a simple mind,
GSP isn't the only one in the ring, what did Shields do to win the fight? GSP lost vision in an eye in the second round, it doesn't make it easy to finish off a guy who has wins over Hendo,Kampmann, lawler,Miller,Okami,Condit, etc. GSP doesn't exactly have 1 punch ko power a tkko for him will only come with accumulation and a sub won't come against a guy who might be the best in the business. But at the same time I can agree GSP isn't overly aggresive and rarely throws more then a 2 punch combo.

    Is that simple enough.....

Because you're posts are just brimming with objectivity right?
Cretin. Get back in your box. I should have known a negative response towards your hero GSP would have provoked a stupid post like that.

Can anyone here honestly say that Shields went all out to win that fight with GSP ? It certainly didn't look like it to me. It seemed as if he was happy to lose a decision.
