Cotto has a punchers chance and that is all I am giving him. I think people fail to realize that Mayweather has heart and he isn't going to sit there and let you beat him and dictate what happens in that ring. Punchers chance.

    Don't agree....he doesn't even have that!

Are you telling me he can land a bigger shot than Mosely did?

Because that what it is going to take to K.O Mayweather.

    In regards to Pedro Diaz...

He may not be a main stream name to the casual boxing fans because he never got to train the top fighters in the game.

But if you ask anyone that's been around Diaz in the boxing world, they'll immediately say that his knowledge of the game as well as his training techniques are on par or better than any other recognized top trainers out there.

No not saying Cotto can pop like Mosley but he can catch Mayweather with a bomb in the right place and put him out. All he has is a punchers chance. He isn't going to outbox Floyd so what do we give him?

I agree, anything can happen. But Cotto is an accumulation puncher, and I just can't see him landing with the regularity he needs to get his man hurt.

    But what does that mean?

I guess Im a person that likes to see something tangible.....I want to see a track record I can examine.

All kinds of people say all kinds of things for all kinds of reasons....you need to know who is saying it, what credentials they have and why they are saying it.

He appears to be a good trainer to me but nothing extraordinary and he would need to be extraordinary to take Cotto to the win. Because imo he has too many weaknesses which can be exploited.

Maybe he will be stylistically bad for Mayweather like Norton was to Ali? But I just don't see Mayweather being knocked out by a Cotto.

Castillo isn't the greatest boxer in the world and yet some of the pound for pound best couldn't touch anywhere near the success that Jose had in their first fight.

You never know what could happen. I mean had Clottey never cut Cotto open, he would've NEVER seen any sort of success in that fight. Who know what could happen. Mayweather very well may brake his hand in this fight, get cut, get deducted points for his known fouls using this forearms, that rib injury might peek it's head again in the fight.

People seem to forget here that the bar is already set too high for Floyd. Anything short of that and Cotto already won...call me crazy, but I think Floyd will be made to look very HUMAN in this fight. And he sure as **** will leave with some swelling.

Damn, it's come down to Mayweather having to injure himself, for muther****ers to even have a chance.

This is an excellent point. Cotto IS an accurate puncher compared to say Ortiz, and we are talking about 154 here, but I am not sure he will have the speed to land enough shots to accumulate damage on Floyd. He is going to have to throw combos and he is going to have to revive his body shots of old to have anything beyond a punchers chance.

That's a valid opinion. I'm just saying that at least we've seen that their chemistry is most certainly positive and got them results. It's more than just "hype". That's my only point. Pedro can't make Cotto capable of anything he can't do on his own, but he can prepare him and help him maximize his current potential.
