Clottey clearly won the first four rounds and he didn't lose absolutely everything after that.SHUT UP.
He's biased.. He's all about some Margarito.. They act as if Clottey was completely dominated after round 4.. Now way should the ****ing score be 118-109.. Clottey hurt his hand, maybe he didn't break it, but they don't know how it is when you hurt your knuckles and you've got to hit with it.. You can seriously **** your knuckles up at times in boxing.. Didn't he even have problems in the fight with Judah with his knuckles/hand?
Clottey was giving Marg a boxing lesson from 1-4. He hurt his hand in the 5th. The fight clearly changed after that. Not saying he would've won if he didn't hurt his hand but it would've been more competitive. I had it 7-5 Marg. Clottey winning 1-4 and i think the 11th. Marg threw 1600+ punches and never hurt/stunned Clottey and size wasn't a factor. I would favor Marg in a rematch because of his work rate but i think it would be close and competitive.
Bull****. Size wasn't a factor... hahahaha. Clottey maybe won the first three, after that Antonio imposed on Joshua all night. Let's not kid ourselves...
No it wasn't a factor in the sense that Marg's size pushed Clottey around. Clottey is a huge WW himself.
Clottey was more impressive in the rounds that he won more than Margo in his rounds. Clottey was abled to land clean and effective shots particularly his left hook while Margo really wasn't landing anything clean and was only really impressing the judges with the amount of punches thrown. It was clear as day Clottey won the first 4 rounds, I also gave him the last round, and I scored one of the middle rounds for him as well; so I had an even fight after 12. People who dismiss Clottey as a worthy opponent to Margo just aren't paying attention or are blinded by the imaginary Ora that surrounding Margo. Clottey presents an entirely different puzzle than Cotto or anyone else Margo has faced. His defence is is top notch and with it, he gave Margo fits in their fight. Clottey's countering is well timed and precise so he often doesn't waste punches. And also the injury that Clottey sustained was a clear deterrent to him winning the fight. He rarely threw with his left hand after the injury and the left hook was his money punch. imho
