Seriously, it seems every ****ing time I watch boxing they're always talking about how so and so has so much potential and will be a big star in the future.

    Khan
    John Murray
    Joe Murray
    Kell Brook
    De Gale
    BJ Saunders
    Tyson Fury
    Cleverly
    Gavin Reese
    Frankie Gavin

You'd think that in the next few years Britain would have a production line of world champions the way the "experts" are banging on about every single young fighter in Britain that's undefeated.

I think Khan could go far but some of the praise the others get is ridiculous. Joe Murray has had how many fights? Already they reckon he'll be a huge success in the pro game:roll:

Tyson Fury is the next Larry Holmes? :patsch At least wait untill these guys have fought legitimate opponents before hyping them up as the next big thing.

Why don't you attempt to stretch your foreskin all the way over your head?

all but reese and fury are prospects and in today's world of four or god knows how many world tittle's they all have a reasonable chance to win some sort of belt

    lol

I'm not sure anyone has said Fury is the new Larry Holmes either, not without their tongue firmly in their cheek anyway

Most of the others ARE top class prospects, confusingly

I think he got out of the wrong side of bed this morning

The only Fury-Holmes comparison has come from Fat Mick who claims Tyson's jab is as good as Larry's was :D.

However, apart from "Reese" the rest of the fighters on the list are good prospects.

No, but negativity achieves nothing. Good list of fighters you've put forth there. Watch them fail/succeed and enjoy... lifes too short

The one who is most hyped on that list after Khan is De Gale. Now De Gale has had 2 or 3 fights against no one of note. The experts reckon he's the next big thing. A bit early to say no? that's all I'm saying.

I wish EVERY fighter nothing but the best. While everyone is saying "No you can't" I'm saying "Yes you can Audley". I'm not being negative but realistic enough to know that not every young undefeated fighter will become a world champion like the experts would have us believe. If that offends you enough to make an ******* comment so be it. I wish all fighters nothing but hapiness and success.

You get that with every fighter who was a good amateur mate. Even the Yanks do it. I know what you're saying but it's the job of the media and promoters to hype these guys.

You obviously misunderstand the word "prospect"

some will make it, some have made it, and some won't.

joe murray was a world class amateur, a medallist at the world amateurs, so of course he will be treated as a prospect.

it is up to promoters and the TV companies they have deals with, to convince viewers that what they are seeing is **** hot. it's part of the business.

what pisses me off is watching gavin, saunders, degale in 4 rounders as nearly the chief support to a PPV main event. that fvcks me off, big time - cos you're paying to see novices, basically.
