i think this is a great fight! two hungry YOUNG fighters fighting each other and not the veteran v the young fighter which seems to happen alot lately , both have a tonne of talent and big punchers. the only questions are how will ortiz fair at jmw , i think he will be ok , he was 164 lbs fight night against fmj and also he has to get past his next oppenent which will be no walk in the park.

Good fight imo. I would pick Alvarez at 154 though.

It's pretty disrespectful to Ortiz' opponent on the 23rd to announce Ortiz' fight before their fight is over.

Just been watching some Ortiz stuff from the past. Did he quit against maidana or did the doctor stop it from the cut? Can't really tell. And does anyone know what maidanas movements are ATM?

Great fight, I'm sure we'll see a war!

As for it being disrespectful to Lopez, I would be more inclined to feel this way if Ortiz hadn't had the Berto fight cancelled in the way it did, Ortiz deserves his PPV marquee fight and if they had to announce it before the Lopez fight then so be it.

    its a business i guess.

    look after no.1.

  15. It will be a good fight and harder test for Alvarez than some would think. I never count Ortiz out it's hard to measure the guy when he's all heart and violence. Alvarez will need more than his methodical approach to breakdown Ortiz

Alvarez v Berto would have been a good match up
